I made the mistake of allowing a colorful and bright sign to draw me into a restaurant. A good sign does not mean - good restaurant!
While in Ft Lauderdale I was hungry for a good sushi restaurant, so I got pulled to Heart Rock Sushi. Heart Rock Sushi is in a little strip mall off Sunrise Blvd. on your way into the beach.
The place seemed a little dark and a little worn when I entered. I sat down and ordered a hot sake. The sake served was luke warm at best.
The waiter seemed friendly enough, however at times it was hard to find him and the service was a bit slow.
I ordered two special rolls. When they arrived they were slightly mushy and did not hold together very well. They tasted okay, but as I said the entire roll seemed very soft.
I also ordered edemami which came well after my rolls were served (usually it comes first). The edemami was also served luke warm, it was overly salted and the pieces were extremely small and under filled with the beans. It was a big disappointment.
Also a table of four drunk people were sitting in the restaurant trying to order pizza! This is not the restaurants fault, however they were getting disruptive, ordering the staff around and being very loud, at some point it might have been a good idea to ask them to leave as they were getting to be the center of attention and very annoying to other diners.
