I stayed here while taking a business trip, it was a top notch hotel. Everything was perfect, the staff was so friendly, welcoming you back every time you came thru the doors.
The mini kitchen, a GREAT touch, had everything you could need.
Walking distance to everything.. I would really suggest that anyone heading this way stay here.
The views are top notch.. one side was the beach with a view of the ocean and the other was the inter-costal... The pool people may be the friendliest yet.. They get you a chair overlooking the beach, cover it for you, get you water when you need it and when you leave, just leave it there and they clean it all up for you. Dont forget to tip of course, these guys are well worth it.
The only downside, which isnt really a downside but.. If you get housekeeping, it will cost you $50 per day, they clean 2 times a day, and they do ask at the desk if you'd like it, I said no and they came 2 times the first day, after telling them I would call if I needed it. But, they never charged me for it, so no harm.. But I didnt know they charged until after talking to another guest at the pool.. so, just a heads up on that one. Oh, the hotel bar will close by 10:15 ish, so if you're planning on drinks after then, gotta head down to LuLu's or Hooters or one of the places in the plaza 5 blocks away, which is an AWESOME place to hang out. tons of people, Live killer bands at LuLu's and open late!!!
Don't miss it, well worth the $$ and an awesome place to stay, with a GREAT and friendly staff!

Room Tip: A king room on the south side, can beat it.

Spent three nights at the Hilton Ft Lauderdale Beach Resort after coming back from a weekend cruise to the Bahamas. We upgraded to a junior suite that was ocean view. Each and every person on staff goes out of their way to assist you in every way. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The pool area very nice. The location is good with many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!

We stayed here for 4 nights just after Hurricane Sandy passed by on her way north. The Beach Blvd (A1A) was knee deep in sea water and sand. The room was great and the pool and bar areas overlook the ocean. The hotel lobby and public areas were spotless and the staff was top notch. It is rare to have so many exceptional people working at the same property. Everyone from the bartender, pool staff, front desk and coffee shop folks were fantastic. The Valet Parking staff (especially Brandon, formerly from Maryland) was extremely helpful and expertly directed us to our off site destinations despite the detours and road closures. This is a top notch property located right across from the beach. I highly recommend it. We will be back.

We can certainly understand the weather challenges faced during your recent stay; "Sandy" stirred up the area quite a bit, and we're still seeing beach recovery from the effects. I am pleased that our entire Team took care of you during this time, and hope you have a chance to visit under better weather conditions. Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

We just returned from spending 5 nights at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. We chose this hotel because we have a 3 month old baby, and we wanted a place with a kitchen area for washing bottles. We had an ocean view room (we were disappointed that being Hilton Gold didn't give us an upgrade, as the ocean front rooms are considered "specialty" rooms).

The room (think of it as a one bedroom condo) had a half bath just off the entry hall, a full kitchen (not stocked with anything, not even water in the fridge, plates, bottle opener, nothing), decent sized living room, and then a nice sized bedroom, huge closet, and insanely huge bathroom with whirlpool tub and separate shower. The covered balcony is shaped like two triangles, with a bit that connects the bedroom balcony to the living room one. The balcony wasn't huge, but it was big enough. Overall, we were impressed to have such a large space for the money we were paying.

As Hilton gold members, we received two complimentary continental breakfasts every day, or we could use the vouchers toward food at the cafe on the first floor. The continental breakfast on the 6th floor was nicely presented, but super lame once you tried to pick stuff to eat. If you love bread bread bread, then you will enjoy it, but if you want some variety, go with the cafe option (that way you can get a latte, quiche, bagel with cream cheese, etc that isn't offered on the 6th floor). The first day the waitress even gave us a free upgrade to the hot breakfast, but it wasn't that hot and there wasn't much to choose from.

A few things annoyed us at the hotel. As others have mentioned, the car valet parking at $31.99 per day PLUS tipping every time you want your car is ridiculous. We also requested dishwasher soap 3 times before we were told they didn't have any. Finally, the cabanas are priced as if they were in Miami, which is why no one uses them. I would have paid $50 to use a cabana for a few hours, but not $95 for a half day, or $150 for a full day.

Overall, the hotel is very nice. The halls and rooms are quiet, the furnishings are nice enough, and we had a comfortable stay.

Room Tip: The pool is located on the 6th floor, so if you're afraid of heights, request a low floor and yo...

We appreciate your candid comments posted on TripAdvisor, and I'm very pleased that your room was comfortable and spacious enough for your family. The full kitchens can certainly come in handy with small children and special cooking needs. I have noted your comments on our valet parking, and will share the issues with soap delivery with our housekeeping team to ensure this does not happen in the future. Thank you for choosing the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, for your loyalty to Hilton as Gold Honors members; and we hope you have a chance to stay with us again soon.

We are Diamond hilton honors and have stayed at most the chains properties in the area. This place tops them all. We stayed in a Jr. king suite with a side view of the ocean. The bathroom had a seperate shower and whirlpool tub. The balcony was off the living room. Breakfast was pretty standard for a Hilton but with great service from the staff. All the staff we met were pleasant and heplful. The pool area was on the 6th floor and overlooked the ocean and also had 2 hot tubs. The sun trolley went by to catch a quick ride to a store. Easy walk to many restaurants. We were not given hand towels the second day but a call to housekeeping delivered them quickly.

The Good
_Six pillows on the bed
_Large closet
_Large bathroom with under sink storage and an exhaust fan!
_Gorgeous views
_Better than average food from room service
_Very nice pool and bar area
_Convenient to beach

The Bad
_Housekeeping would not change out our drinking glasses. We had the same ones for three days. We finally went to the front desk and were assured we would get a liner for our ice bucket and clean glasses and mugs. Two hours later we returned to our room to find a new ice bucket liner and replenished toiletries but the same dirty glasses and coffee mugs.
_You have to walk through a cloud of sweat stench from the workout room to get to the breakfast diner as they are right across from each other. Not very appetizing!
