Nice place to stay and Maggie is super sweet and really a nice person . Maggie makes you feel at home and there’s nothing she can’t do to make you comfortable.
Every room is nearly setup, definitely a place to stay if you come to Fort Lauderdale

We stayed in the family suite. Very spacious. A bed for each boy plus a bedroom for my wife and I. Access to several other property hotel features is a nice bonus. The restaurant next door had great service and good food. Very reasonable rate compared to other hotels I looked at.

We were recommended by another couple at another hotel in the nearby area to stay here upon our return from our cruise before departing for home the next day. They have several sister hotels, one of which is across the street and has a fabulous breakfast. It is more like a motel than hotel, but the rooms - at least the ones that our group stayed in were suites. For the most part, everything was clean. It is located on the 2nd block west of the beach and within walking distance to the restaurants & shops on the A1A, and Las Olas. For the price and location it is a great find. One of the current drawbacks is construction on a highrise condo between it and the beach so noise will be a factor. Although there is '24 hour' service, there is rarely someone actively at check in/out. You have to call them and they come from wherever they are either on premise or at another, sister location. They are very nice and accommodating.

Needed a hotel in March (High Season) for 2 nights i FOrt Lauderdale. Major hotels were very expensive just for a couple of nights of lodging. I came accross Aqua Hotel based on trip Advisor reviews. For the most part Review are dead on. Maggie at teh Front office is so personable and gives you a gret rundon of the area. The Resort is location is Great. It is one block from the beach with a multitude of restaurants within .5 mile walk. There are some very local eateries as well. The hotel is not eye poping when you arrive but is clean. There are tow small pools (one Fresh Water in the front
by the lobby and One Salt water in the back). Both Clean with plenty of chairs. Our Room had a King bed but very little furnishing, not that we need much. There was not a lot of room for anything more. The room was clean smelled fresh and the AC worked well. Bathroom was clean but not a lot of places to put toiletries or towels but we made due. Room has a Coffeee Maker , Micrwave and MinFridge. There were no Vending machines on property but there were places within a block or two that you could get what you needed most were open till 9 so plan accordingly. OVerall for the value over major Brand hotels the Aqua A is a great option without all the in house options..

We usually stay at bigger chain hotels, but after reading the good reviews, decided to book two nights at the Aqua prior to our cruise.
My husband, teenage daughter and I arrived around 1 p.m. After dragging our bags across a grassy (no pavement) courtyard area, we came upon the pool, which I can only describe as looking like it was the set from the 1980s college-kids-gone-wild movies "Spring Break," or maybe the Fla. version of "Porkies." There was a couple of dozen partiers in their early 20s literally crammed into and around the pool area, already guzzling the booze, and blaring music so loud the ground was shaking.
Now, before I go any further, let me clarify -- we are not tee-totalers. We love to have a few drinks and have fun, but this was way too much, especially considering we were about 30 years older than any of the other guests and were traveling with our daughter.
Thankfully, we were told we couldn't check in yet (blessing in disguise) and went to have lunch, where we weighed the pros and cons of cancelling our stay. Some our our main concerns were: 1. NO WAY we could find an inch of space by the pool, much less a chair. 2. Even if we did, we'd be smack dab in the middle of "college kids gone wild" which isn't what you want when you're over 25 and/or traveling with your kids. 3. If things were already so crazy at just-past-high-noon, we could only imagine what they'd be like at midnight.
Again, we love to have fun, but decided this was too much, and went back to cancel. This seemed to somewhat upset the (nice) lady at the front desk. She told us that every hotel would be like this (not true, as we'd just had lunch at the Hilton and walked around the property) and the beach would be like this as well (also false, as you could tell by just driving by). She also said everything would quiet down at 6 p.m., which may have been true, but my guess would be that'd only last until the bars closed and the after parties and hook-ups started.
We cancelled anyway, and any doubts we might have had were put to rest when, as I walked out of the office, my daughter, who was standing outside, told me she observed not one, not two, but five girls urinating in the parking lot in broad daylight then returning to the pool.
Hauling our luggage, we walked the two blocks to the W Hotel, where we were able to enjoy a lively atmosphere, with plenty of room at the pools, and fellow guests, even college spring-breakers, who had a good time and, from all evidence, urinated in their bathrooms.
So, while the Aqua might be an ok place to stay at certain times of the year, I can only caution those who are over 21 and/or have children to find accommodations elsewhere, unless you want to take a time travel to what Ft. Lauderdale was like in 1985 when it was the Spring Break capital of the U.S.
