we have just returned from another stay at Aqua Boutique Hotel....
From the moment we arrived everything was great. Maggie the manager goes above and beyond to help and make your stay wonderful, her passion is obvious and her attention to detail second to non....
we stayed for just under three weeks and really enjoyed our stay, we can see they have added several improvements since our last stay including clothes rails for drying in all rooms...
This is our forth trip to Aqua and each time it only gets better.

If we had any negative comments it would only be, without Maggie.... there is NO passion.
something you cannot teach ...you either have it or you don't and Maggie has loads.

Note to resort manager ...... employ other staff with passion.

From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed and looked after. Location is one block back from beach in a delightful area. The rooms have been delightfully and stylishly decorated. Loved it. Didn't use the pool as only stayed 2 nights but would recommend a longer stay as so much to see and do. Staff obviously love their jobs, never seen such a happy crew. Would definitely recommend to my friends. Thank you for a great stay.

Room Tip: Expect some noise from neighbours as thin walls, but nothing to worry about.

Liz H,
We hope that you can stay with us for more then 2 days next time! With a variety of room types, including 2 bedroom apartments, we can easily accommodate long term stays. We love that you noticed our happy crew. Our motto at NBV is after all, a place where locals and visitors can find love and happiness. Guess that includes the staff too:)

I stayed for two nights with my wife, found the room very comfortable and the staff extremely polite and helpful. Excellent location, ideal for walking along the beach. Only downsides, $20 added to bill for parking (not included in original quote) very hard pillow and room smelt damp, no doubt due to air con.

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at The Aqua! What a gem of a place, literally steps away from the beach and restaurants. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite, which is more like a 1 bedroom apartment with separate living, bedroom and bathroom spaces. Our suite was very clean and spacious with one of the two hotel swimming pools literally right outside our front door. Even with the pool so close, noise was not an issue. The air conditioning units worked great. There is also a dehumidifier in the room to handle the humidity as well. Nice flat screen tvs in both the living area and bedroom.
The bathroom was very small, but as we had ample space in the bedroom to get ready as well as another mirror in the small hallway by the bedroom this was not an issue for us. The bathroom was well stocked with nice thick towels and washcloths. Bring your own toiletries from home, as soap is the only bathroom amenity provided. There is also an all-purpose hair/body shampoo dispenser in the shower. I did not use this, so can't comment on it's quality.
The bed was very comfortable and the linens clean and crisp. There is ample closet and dresser space to store your things in if you do not like to live out of your suitcase. Maid service happened at various times through out the day--sometimes early and sometimes later in the day. It was only a problem once, as we had returned from a day of shopping and were trying to get ready to lounge by the pool when they maid service showed up to "do" the room and we were in the middle of changing. They promptly left and came back later. Not a huge problem for us...
The pool areas are very nice. We especially enjoyed spending an afternoon lounging on the provided foam "air" mattresses. So relaxing! Especially enjoyed the cool eucalyptus towels brought to us poolside by Maggie! If the beach is your thing, the hotel has beach chairs and umbrellas available for you to borrow and take to the beach. There is a nice courtyard with tables, lounge chairs and a grill for guest use. We never played--but there is a large wooden Jenga set located in the courtyard as well!
There is not any type of vending machines on the property, so make a stop at a local grocery or convenience store and stock up on snacks, soda, etc.
We had breakfast one morning at The Plaza Bistro which is owned by the same people that own The Auqa. Very good food--huge portions--just a couple of blocks away.
When we return to the Ft. Lauderdale area, we will definitely try to stay at The Aqua again! It is simply fantastic!! We couldn't have asked for anything more!

I found this hotel while researching pre-cruise accommodations, and what made me book Aqua was the stellar reviews, specially reports of cleanliness. We were not disappointed, the hotel was exactly as expected. The staff was very helpful, the girl run out to help me with luggage when we arrived, even let me use their office computer to send an email when I had trouble signing in to WiFi. There are two pools, one appeared to be more family and busy, the other one at the back was like a quiet oasis. Our room was comfortable, and even though I would prefer a room on the upper floor with a balcony, we didn't spend enough time in the room for this to be a huge deal. The location of the hotel is perfect, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist area but close enough that one can walk everywhere, to bars and restaurants in the main area. We stayed there during the Memorial day weekend and there was some kind of a festival going on on the main strip, but it was quiet in the area of the hotel. The only negative I can mention is the pillows - our pillows were like square bricks and I woke up with a sore neck. I requested softer pillows for the second night but no luck, so I ended up sleeping on a towel. Other than that, I would definitely recommend Aqua and will stay there again next time.

Room Tip: upper level, away from the main pool

Shera86,
Thanks so much for your review! Isn't it nice when the reviews match the hotel? We know how hard travelling can be and always work hard to provide our guests with honest description and photos. We will work on that pillow issue and hope that we can earn that 5th star upon your return!

This was the best experience that I have ever had. We stayed in the Queen Deluxe Suite and it was absolutely beautiful. Maggie the Guest Services Manager was beyond accommodating. She really made the whole stay 5 star experience. She interacted with us and made us feel like we were right at home. I will definitely be back to stay at this little piece of paradise!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. We spent one night after making a quick trip down for my husband's business. The staff is very accommodating. When we stayed, there was a loud baby shower happening overnight. Our room was located directly under the event. When we mentioned it to the staff member in the office he set us up in a room across the way that was spacious, clean, and quiet. The staff goes out of their way to make sure the guests are happy. They allowed us to stay parked past our check out time in order to squeeze in some beach time. We used the pool after our beach trip and were able to change in the bathrooms right outside the pool area. Every time we visit Ft. Lauderdale we will be staying at a North Beach Village Resort, due to their comfortable accommodations and excellent customer service!
