I stayed at the Aqua Hotel with a bunch of my girlfriends recently and we could not have picked a better place! The hotel is beautiful, modern and clean.

The service was exceptional. The cleaning crew was constantly around and busy making sure everything was spotless. Staff brought out cool towels and frozen grapes to us at the pool, which was a wonderful touch. We were treated so well and couldn't have asked for more.

The hotel has two pools and a beautiful courtyard to hang out in, which was an added bonus.

The location is also great - just a block back from the beach.

All around, this was a great pick. One of the best decisions of our trip!

Stayed 6 nights at the Aqua hotel and the hotel and surroundings were great. Liked the room, which was clean and spacious, their housekeeping staff is excellent. Check-in was smooth and the young lady at the reception even helped us carry our luggage to the second floor room, she did´t give us much information about the hotel though (beach chairs, pool opening hours, what to do in a case of emergency when the reception office is closed etc.) The beach is one block away and the hotel´s surroundings are surprisingly calm.

There was an extra lock on the inside of the room door because the door would not lock otherwise, it was broken. The extra lock was needed because someone was trying to enter our room at 1:45 am one night. When telling about this incident at the reception it was treated in a very unprofessional manner explaining it was probably the janitor going to fix something in a room and had mistaken the room. In the middle of the night?? No apology or empathy, all kinds of explanations about the hotel security and totally going too far when asking: "Are you looking for a husband?" (Have one already, thank you). Lost one day of vacation because of no sleep that night and a huge scare. The lock was not repaired during our stay. But this was just one unhappy incident and one indiscreet person. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel.

After reading all the recent reviews we would have to echo all their sentiments. This is a very cute and clean little place. I would just add that the couch is extremely comfortable for sleeping if need be. I slept on the couch all week as my daughter had a bad cold. It is not a pull out, you just remove the back cushions and it is even bigger than a twin bed. In the bedroom closet is a package containing sheets, a blanket and pillow for you to use on it. Worked out wonderful!

We too, noticed how efficient the workers were here! We were impressed with all that they did but will agree with someone below that they were almost too efficient, if such a thing is possible! Maybe better to wash windows later in the day when people are not in the rooms? :) They did an awesome job though, and someone was always nearby throughout the day if we needed an extra towel or had a question.

The complimentary chairs and umbrellas are simple but much appreciated when we got tired of paying $44 for an umbrella and 2 chairs from the beach service folks!

Our room was on the ground floor and right outside was the pool. We never used it but it was a nice view every morning and we couldn't hear any noise from people using it ever. There is also another nice pool that was a tad more private too.

Quite helpful is that there is someone in the office up til 2am every night. One night when we came home after midnight and could not find any allotted parking spaces available, the woman at the desk and also a worker were quick to help us find a spot to park!

And like everyone has mentioned, the day office manager, Maggie, is so pleasant and makes you feel like she is really invested in your enjoying your stay here. Which we did! :)

Stayed here three nights before leaving on Allure of the seas we are so glad we choose this hotel as the service was out of this world and that is all down to Maggie and her team, The rooms were spotless clean and the grounds were so well kept we, wish we booked a extra few days as it was such a relaxing place to stay. if going to FL dont hesitate in booking this hotel as you will not be disapointed, we will be back doing another cruise and will be staying a few days longer at the Aqua next time. Room Tip: Ground floor rooms as it is like having your own private pool

Overall this is a great alternative to the large hotels that dominate the North Beach Village area. The design and cleanliness are excellent, service was very friendly- a little too familiar and in your face for us but 'too friendly' isn't really a criticism. Our only criticism would really be value for money- the room was about $165 a night- and we got a bottom floor, right by the stairwell, standard room. The open plan means all rooms face the interior courtyard but our room seemed to be where the cleaning staff congregated and we could hear every noise coming from outside, and the pool area, which was annoying and felt very invasive of our privacy. We also had massages which were excellent but overpriced ($125+ with tip for one hour)- and I heard the woman next door enjoying herself (if you know what I mean) throughout my massage.

It's a good hotel- there are others in the area probably as nice with less of a motel vibe, more privacy and luxury (which is what we were after) for around the same price, but we would recommend this place for people looking for a cool, moderately priced place to stay by the beach.
