Owner description: This museum is a reproduction of a Packard showroom from the 1920s. On display are 22 Packard motor cars from the 1900s to the 1940s, all in full working order. Among them, are Roadsters with compartments for golf clubs, a doctor's coupe with a compartment for his medical bag, and a 1929 645 Dual Cowl Phaeton that can self-lubricate its chassis as it drives along the road.

“Fascinating look at a bygone era”
Reviewed August 27, 2012

I found the Fort Lauderdale Antique Car Museum through the AAA TourBook and planned to see it when I visited South Florida in December. When I got there, I noticed that it resembled a Packard dealership.

There are rows and rows of vintage Packards. You can see what the cars were like and how much they sold for. Interestingly enough, the top-of-the-line Packard cost well under the price I paid for the Honda I drive. (Yes, there's a reason for that.)

It's a beautiful tribute to the era when cars were beginning to become part of American culture. A great trip back in time.

Reviewed August 18, 2012

If you like cars, old , new and in between this is a must see. Famous cars, regular cars and plenty of exotic cars, something for everyone as they say. It is worth the time and effort.

“Awesome Packard Collection”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

I don't know much about cars, but I can tell you that this collection is large and impeccably kept. All autos are in running condition. My favorite was a big silver one, presumably from the 1930s. The collection ranged in vintage from 1909 to 1955.

Great place for people who love cars and all all things vintage.

“Great looking old cars (all Packards)”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

If you like old cars, this museum is a must visit. They have lots of old Packards from over the years restored to look like new. Although you can't sit in them or open the doors, you can still get up close and look inside. Each car has a booklet in front with information about the model and details about the particular car - some were owned by famous people and one was used to drive around a president. The walls are lined with related collections of items such as dashboards, decals, and emblems. Toward the end, there's also a room filled with Franklin D Roosevelt memorabilia - I'm not quite sure why. There is a small suggested donation for admittance.

“Not child friendly.”
Reviewed June 22, 2012

This is not the place for a family. Staff were rude to children. My 6 year old was less than 6 feet from me when a staff member told him not to touch anything (which he wasn't) and to go stay by his parents. I realize this is a museum atmosphere but my child was not misbehaving and was mortified to be corrected by a stranger. I let the worker know my child would be by my side at all times but was still really disappointed. Another staff member was overheard telling another child that only he was the only one allowed to touch the cars. Rudest group of people I have ever been around.
