I do not recommend anyone stays at this hotel. We had to change rooms four times during our one night stay. There were large roaches all over the hotel. Our first room (that had just been cleaned upon our arrival) had a large dead roach and a dog biscuit under the bed. The second room was flooded due to a leaking toilet. The third room smelled like an ash trya although it was a non smoking room. The fourth and final room was ok until we woke up the next mourning. There were roach droppings on the counter and in the napkin dispenser. There were cob webs under the bed which implied the room had not been thouroghly cleaned. There were also candy wrappers under the second bed. There were wild cats with babies in the courtyard. The rooms had mold in the showers, there were tiles falling off the walls, and all the doors looked as if they had been broken into before. The only thing nice about this hotel was the shuttle from the airport. The driver was nice and professional. The hotel did adjust the price of the room for us ( we were not the only ones they had to do this for) and the clerk was very appologetic. The manager personally explained that they were treating the bug problem. I think they could do a little more to fix it. If you are thinking of staying at this hotel I would strongly discourage you.

We stayed here the night before our cruise out of Ft Lauderdale. Do not be put off by the initial view of the motel - it looks like a 60's motel. The rooms are spotless if not grand and the service is friendly and helpful. Nice restaurant with resonable prices (no where else to eat in the area so this is a plus), hot breakfast included, nice pool. Short ride to the cruise port included FREE. You can also book a van from the ship to the airport for around $8 p/p. This imotel s a real bargain and a great place to stay before your cruise or flight.

Stayed here two years ago just a few rooms down and our stay was excellent. During our last visit in Sept 09; our room had a strong odor coming from the bathroom. We put a towel under the door to try and hide the odor but it was still troughout the room. Also, killed a big cockroach crawling around near the TV. Didn't complain since we were just ther two nights befoe our cruise. Will have to really consider staying there again and hope problems are corrected. The good: Hot breakfast buffet was very good and organized and staff very friendly. Free shuttle to cruiseport was very efficient and timely. Front staff helpful and friendly.

Like I said ....this hotel is PERFECT for cruisiers departing from Fort Lauderdale or Miami.

The service was pretty good. We have stayed here on pre/post cruises before and the service has greatly improved in the last two years. You do need to understand, that at times, the front desk is a little "bombarded" with cruises, guests, phones, customer service etc...so if you can be a little humane, and patient...once you are checked in..you will not be sorry. I have seen some pretty rude guests.....shame on them.

For those having a post cruise hotel....suggestion....instead of being upset because you do not get your very early check in upon your arrival ((8AM!!) just wear your bathing suit under your clothes as you depart the cruiseship or put it at easy access and when you get there, check in, give them your cell phone #, take along a few personal belonging and go continue your vaction...for Pete's sake!! They will gladly store your luggage and I have done this many times with no problems! Most of the time, when they call me for a ready room...I tell them, "It will be awhile...I am having too much fun swimming!!" They always have a smile in their voice and say, "No problem....come to the front desk at your convenience."
By the time I am done swimming and laying in the sunshine....my room is ready and I am also ready....to shower and clean up, get some snacks from the handy vending machines, take a nap or swim some more!!

By the time you get to your room, it is clean and adequate...nothing over the top. Functional and serves the purpose. (it is equal or better than the rate you pay) It is more than efficient to handle our needs. Rest and shower....with a great pool and, for those who are not 'water dogs"...a BEAUTIFUL garden to sit/walk in!! It also has an on site restaraunt/bar. Havent used it. Always call Pizza Hut and the nice people at the front desk even gave me some money saving coupons!! (like I said....be patient with the front desk as they handle all the pressure at check in and afterwards, they are such sweethearts.) We have all had our days where the pressure was a little overwhelming!!

Don't Miss!! Their free breakfast buffet is awesome! It has the largerst variety of breakfast choices that I have ever seen at any free buffet..so if you leace hungry...it is your fault!! It has a welcoming, homey atmosphere.

The shuttle to Port Everglades and to/from the airport is complimentary. There is a reasonable rate available for those who need transportaion to/from the Miami Port. The drivers are professional, courteous and shuttles are on time. For those of us who have been there/done that in Miami....you will find the rates for EVERYTHING more reasonable a Fort Lauderdale.

There is also a omplementary shuttle (gratuities appreciated, of course!) available (ONLY AT CERTAIN TMES OF THE YEAR) for those who wish to go to the local strip mall and they will wait for you while you shop. My sister actually went to a salon, had her hair cut and colored in Fort Lauderdale, and then returned on that same shuttle!!

So, all in all, this is our choice for an affordable, convenient, clean, "belly full"(!) pre or post cruise hotel. We have recommended it to cruising family members and they were happy "campers" also.

My husband and I checked in about Midnight and the woman at the front desk barley acknowledged us. When she decided it was good for her to help us we got our keys and went to our room. Immediately when we opened the door we smelled a lot of mold. Sat in the room for a few minutes then I started coughing and couldn't breath. The mold was too much so we immediately went down and ask for another room. We checked out 2 more rooms and picked one that we thought was slightly better. After about 30 minutes I started coughing again. The mold was bad in there too. I should also say that the sheets were gray and cockroaches right outside the door. I was discussed. We then decided to checked out and ask for our money back. The night person gave us a hard time and said we had to call back in the morning to get a refund. We checked in at the Hampton Inn down the street which was so much nicer. We even mentioned we were coming from Ramada and the cringed and said they get people from there a lot and it has a bad reputation. The next morning we called Ramada and it took a lot to get our money back but we eventually did. They did something right.

Overall The staff is rude and the place is a Heath violation and should be shut down. Never never stay there unless you like mold and rude people. Good Luck.

They picked us up from the airport for free, dropped us at the cruise port for free. We were able to stay in our room until 2pm on the day of checkout.
The room was $60, so we werent expecting beautiful rooms or anything. But the rooms were actually VERY decent, nothing great. They offered free wifi as well.
The pool area is awesome! I loved it! It was so tropical.
To top it all off, they have a FREE breakfast buffet in the morning too...can't beat that.
I did a lot of research and this was the BEST deal for Cruisers by far.
