“Perfect for a date night!”
Reviewed April 13, 2014

My husband and I had dinner for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. Romantic atmosphere, a charming menu, attentive services and incredible food. We ordered the ceviche, tartar, octupus and the mussels. Everything was outstanding, bold flavors and beautiful combinations of ingredients. One of the best restaurants in South Florida! Highly recommend.

“Dont Tell Your Friends”
Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

Canyon has so much going for it and yet it seems like it is still a great hidden secret. It has been in the same location for more years than I can possibly remember. It is right on the most trafficked non highway road in the state. The food has always been outstanding. And yet- it seems like every time we mention it people ask what it is. Fine by me. Canyon is a bit on the smaller size for a restaurant. It is actually perfect if you ask me but given the quality and the constant steady crowds you would think they could triple the size and still have a wait. The staff all seems to have been working there loyally for many years. They know the menu inside and out and are among the finest brand ambassadors in the business.
We usually go there and just order many different menu items so we can constantly try different combinations. Last night we started strong with the lobster avocado salad and short rib tacos. There was no regard for the napkin here- we went straight to licking our fingers. Then came the brie and mushroom quesadilla and rigatoni. Boring one might say. Ok- so in the restaurant biz there is always the default pasta dish just in case. Not here. These two dishes deliver as well as any exotic fare could. Canyon specializes in their prickly pear margarita and keep them by the pitcher at the bar. I would suggest a taxi or a designated driver because the entire beer, wine and spirits selection is world class. Canyon can hold its own against any foodie enclave in any city. Given its size I would prefer to not make this so wildly popular but then again we cant imagine they lasted so long by not being as good as they have for as long as they have. This is a must for anybody living in or visiting Ft Lauderdale.

“No Reservations but......”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

Although I am not a fan of restaurants that do not take reservations, Canyon is still a favorite. This is a "go to" place for consistently good food and service. Although it has a casual vibe, the atmosphere is dark, lively, good for a date, or intimate/romantic dinner. The booths are especially nice but you may have to wait a bit longer to sit in one.The menu offers a wide variety of choices. Love the beet and goat cheese salad, the chicken quesadilla, and all of the fish dishes. Expect to wait at the bar even on week nights.... but go! Its really very good and one of the best choices in Fort Lauderdale.

“Excellent food but service was too fast”
Reviewed April 11, 2014 via mobile

We loved our food at Canyon! Lobster avocado salad, shrimp dumpling, pulled pork tacos and grilled octopus salad. Amazing food!

The service was surprisingly too fast that we felt that they wanted us out within an hour. The waiter was just okay, we felt rushed.

We will go back to try other thing on the menu!
