One of the world's great fish sandwiches. Choice of three or four catches of the day such as Mahi Mahi, Grouper, Swordfish or Wahoo served on a good bun with beautiful beefsteak tomatoes, lettuce and a tangy sauce. In lieu of french fries, the chef always offers two fresh and deicious vegetables. On my last visit, one was baked acorn squash with brown sugar, butter and pecans. The other was a big, crisp clump of steamed broccoli with garlic breadcrumbs.

All their fish dishes and seafood are excellent and prices are reasonable.

The young, energetic and often attractive servers are cheerful and strive to make your visit pleasant.
Lively bar scene and comfortable booths fit six diners.
In historic Riverwalk neighborhood, my favorite in Ft Lauderdale.

We walked past Tarpon Bend on our way to eat a late lunch at a restaurant next door. But, when we walked into the other restaurant it was almost empty. We changed our mind and figured we should try Tarpon Bend instead since that's where everyone else seemed to be when we walked by. We were so happy we did. The food was excellent. The service was fast, efficient and unobtrusive. We sat in a booth that could have easily fit 10 people, which was really fun. We loved the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend and go back often if we lived in Ft. Lauderdale.

I stopped here for lunch based on recommendation by some locals. I was told that this is where the locals eat. Tarpon blend prepares its seafood the original Fort Lauderdale way. I am glad I found this place. It is located right next door to brew urban café which had very good coffee. The Tarpon Bend is a very busy place.

I had the catch if the day special, which was a spicy snapper sandwich with the tail on. It was awesome and very unique. It came with a choice of a side: potato salad, coleslaw, thin fries, or garlic mashed. All of their sides are homemade. They have a fairly large bar with eighteen draught beers on tap. The bar has twenty chairs around it. I ate at the bar. Lital the bartender was excellent. She was very friendly, courteous, and efficient. Tarpon bend has a happy hour from 4 to 7 Monday through Friday in which all of their drinks and beer are two for one. Lital said that they have one of the best happy hours between old town Fort Lauderdale and Las Olas and they are packed during happy hour.
