Located in the Trendy part of the Gold Coast, we have a Cosmopolitan glamor.. This beautiful restored historic home, has ambiance of soft ocean breeze. We dined on the patio. They had live entertainment. My wife said, Casablanca Cafe was voted Ft. Lauderdale's most romantic Restaurant. They have american and mediterainean specialties, Susan had sirloin medium, and I had a striped bass. Both were impeccably prepaired as the vegetables, salad, bread and wine. The service was great. Cost $$$

Located just across from the FLL beach front, the Casablanca Cafe was recommended by fellow guests from our hotel. This was the perfect respite on a hot afternoon for tasty lunch. We actually went back for a second visit we liked it so much and we seldom do that on a first time to a new city.

The red wine sangria was the perfect refreshment after hours in the sun. Light and refreshing....just perfect.

Both days we began with the Gazpacho. Recently we have been disappointed that many restaurants seemed to be passing watery "salsa" off as Gazpacho, but not the Casablanca Cafe. The soup was fresh, tasty and just right. Our sandwiches were tasty. The steak and goat cheese sandwich was a great twist on the usual. I really enjoyed their Cobb Salad and my partner savored the Moroccan Trio.

After a couple of lunches, we will try Casablanca for dinner on our next visit to FLL.

We've eaten here many a time and wanted to reinforce how good this place is-IT'S GREAT. The atmosphere is beach front cum elegant continental restaurant as Fort Lauderdale Beach is across from the front door. You can be assured a wait if you arive after 7pm-but it's worth it.

Our favorite meal is the scallops, they are pure ambrosia and the sides complement the main well.

Drinks are generous and a definite must

Of all the restaurants my wife and I dined at, this was the most disappointing establishment. This place tries to impress you that it is top-notch when, in reality, it is several rungs below. It is far below the standard set by H2O Cafe (see my review). The prices here are too high for the quality of food that you receive. My wife had a salad with shrimp that was no more than ordinary. I had the sea scallops which were rather bland. Along with the scallops was a combination of sliced vegetables on top of mashed potatoes. The potatoes were an embarrassment! We left as soon as we finished the meal. It did not help that we were seated on the end of the balcony which was in full sun with no protection. The balcony was so small there was no where to go but out.

Next to the hotel we stayed at so it was an obvious choice. It was recommended by Joe at Snooze and it was very good!
