“Good, industrial Italian, just like Brooklyn”
Reviewed March 7, 2013

From the delicious garlic bread and garlicky vegetable/bean appetizer that was brought over immediately, this restaurant delivers solid, stick-to-your ribs southern Italian cooking, in substantial quantities. We always eat there and always walk out happy.

“Decent food, good service, lovely restaurant”
Reviewed March 3, 2013

This was our first visit to Fra Diavolo; we were meeting my husband's 97 1/2 year old aunt & a close cousin. It was a wonderful dinner (an early-bird which was a great price); the food was good, service very good as well. It did become very noisy & crowded when we were finished with our meal, so for us, it worked out perfectly.

One of the best Italian Resturants in South Florida. Great service, great food, and great atomosphere. We have gone here for many years and have never had a bad meal. If you aven tried this hidden gem you are missing out.

“Nice atmosphere - great service”
Reviewed January 16, 2013

Nice atmosphere - great service - reasonable prices make this a worthwhile place to dine in western Ft Lauderdale. Located in a strip mall on University Drive with easy self parking.

There seems to be a shortage of restaurants of this ilk in the Lauderhill / Sunrise / Tamarac area so if you've got a desire of a nice meal, well served by attentive staff, put this one on your short list.

Food was well prepared! Not super outstanding , but certainly very good.

“Wonderful food and charming waitstaff!”
Reviewed December 9, 2012 via mobile

Had a great here. The garlic bread was AWESOME! House Pinot Noir was fantastic, and reasonably priced. Pasta e fagioli (cannellini bean soup with tube-shaped pasta) was delish. The seafood fra diavolo had shrimp the size of lobster tails and succulent mussels and scallops. The veal cosa nostra (house veal) was tender and flavorful in a wine demi glace with roasted red and green peppers, capers and calamata olives. The wait staff was attentive and engaging without hovering. All in all, a memorable meal!
