“Great food and wonderful decor”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

Cafe Vico was a pleasant place to eat at night. The decor is downright great, and the owner is there to greet you, and he constantly makes his rounds to say hi to all the tables. The staff is very attentive and helpful with options. We couldn't choose what type of ravioli, so the waiter suggested ordering a mix of all three types (which wasn't on the menu) It was great, and so was the lasagna, which really doesn't have any red sauce, but a bechamel sauce, but it was awesome. BEWARE: the garlic sauce with the bread! It's absolutely delicious and the most garlicky sauce we've had in a while! The complimentary bruschetta they brought out was a tasty touch as well. Just a great place for great food.

“Hidden Gem!”

We go here at least twice a month. The food is Italian and absolutely delicious! They bring you fresh bread with an oil-garlic dip that is yummy!
Definitely one of my favorites!

“Very Good Food & Below Average Service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

On this revisit, the food remains the main attraction. Wonderful calamari with a zesty marinara sauce. The entrees were slightly less successful. Portions are generous and the presentation of dishes is very good. However, there was too much cheese on the chicken parm, so much that you could not taste the chicken; and there was too much salt on the veal marsala. Don't expect a quiet meal as the tile floors are noise conductors, especially when screaming youngsters are a few tables away. Service became hectic as the tables filled and it took a half hour to get and pay the bill. Overall, above average but not as good as previous visits.

“Fantastic Food & Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

We have been coming here every year for the past 5...the food is simply perfect. It is a nice place to go for two or a group. The outdoor seating is a nice touch. The service is really good without being intrusive. The garlic oil they bring out to start is to die for....put some on your bread or on your main course! The ravioli is so good, that I almost have it each time...but all of the pastas are GOOD. The meat & fish courses are excellent also. This place makes us feel like we are back home at our favourite reataurant. \very good wine selection...and looking at all the pictures on the walls is interesting...This is truly one of the best places to eat in Fort Lauderdale...and each person we've brought agrees. Try it and it will be one of yours, too!
