Description: We are a Latin American Grill & Cafe housed in a restored 1924 historic house in downtown Fort Lauderdale, in Sailboat Bend. We are located just west of the Broward Center for Performing Arts. Our Food is Latin American with an emphasis on quality ingredients -- we strive to bring the best dishes of Latin America to your table in a casual and inviting atmosphere. The idea of restoring this historic, derelect house into a restaurant started with a projected completion time of 2 years and finally took 6 (SIX) years to complete. Our goal was to createa Neighborhood restaurant on the West side of the Las Olas area (in Historic Sailboat Bend) with a strong focus on quality food in a casual yet beautiful environment. Our Food menu showcases the best dishes of South America and Spain like Ceviches, Arroz Marinerro (Paella), and lighter fare like Empanadas, Fish Tacos, and Steak Sandiwches. Come experience the charm of this old home and join us for Lunch or Dinner Tuesday thru Saturday, or for Sunday Brunch. Or just come by and have some coffee (Lavazza is served), or sip some wine, a House Sangria, or a Pint of our Draft Beer.

The food was decent but not amazing, ordered a steak sandwich and a cuban sandwich. Maybe just biased since Ive had cubans in little havana. Service was great and nice location.

This little restaurant in an old house by the Broward arts center is worth a visit, particularly if you like foods from south America and Spain. We had lots of appetizers and an entree of fish tacos and all were good. The fish ceviche was delicious. If you have been to Peru, you will be a happy camper. Beer and a little wine. Casual but service was good. Go visit...outside with your dogs.

Cute place, but food lacking flavor and creativity. Fish tacos had miniscule pieces of fish in it and arugula salad w Gorgonzola had 2 teeny pieces of Gorgonzola. We don't enjoy huge portions, but this was extremely skimpy by most standards. Rather they bump the price up a bit and give you a decent portion . Since its only been open a short time we will try again. Perhaps the huevos next time for brunch. It looked good. And everyone was very congenial

This is a new restaurant very near to the Performing Arts Center & Himarshee area that is really worth seeking out. Serves great versions of Latin & Spanish dishes in a beautiful new place that is casual and friendly. Provides a great selection selection of "standards" from Cuban sandwiches and chrasco to fantastic seafood dishes that will not disappoint you. Combine the food with a reasonable wine and dessert selection as well as great coffee and you have all that is needed for a great night out either by itself or pre-theater. The have additional seating outside, so it is very dog friendly too. May be one of the best new finds for the year. Try it, you will not be disappointed!

Well after driving by this location for five years and always wondering what it was going to be. The Chimney House opened last month, and after only a few weeks I had head that it was worth visiting. A short walk from the discover center and esplanade park we went last night for dinner.

The fare has a south american twist. Everyone had a different dish and enjoyed the meatloaf, steak, fish and a spicy ceviche. My daughter really like the meatloaf.

Sitting, while sitting outside was a bit noisy with the street traffic, I will be back and sit inside.

Well worth the visit.
