We chose this restaurant for dinner based upon reviews on Trip Advisor. G&B is conveniently located at the base of Los Olas in Fort Lauderdale on the water. The atmosphere is great, staff could not be nicer or more helpful, the problem is the food. We were four for dinner, one person had the snapper sandwich. He said there was a lot of bread, lots of bread crumbs on the fish and very little taste of actual snapper. Another person ordered the stuffed shrimp at $23.00. There were very few shrimps but a great deal of stuffing. The fish special of the day was scallops at $24.00. There were 4 small scallops coated with bacon and jam, a very weird combination. This was served with a side of sweet potatoes. The plate was swimming in grease. The only person in our party who enjoyed the meal was the one who ordered mussels.
G&B should stick to just being an oyster bar, a fun place to sit and drink. The main courses are seriously lacking.
