Description: Voted "Best Seafood Restaurant", "Best Waterfront Restaurant" and "Best Restaurant to take your parents" in South Florida by a Sun-Sentinel readers poll in 2013. Legendary Local Dining Landmark and Marina. Casual dining with fresh seafood. DockSide Cafe, offers live music on weekends, while watching the daily feeding of Giant Silver Tarpons at our docks. Incredibly creative dining upstairs in a historic setting of early Fort Lauderdale and the marina, a "hush-hush" naval research facility in WW II. Complimentary valet parking and dock for your boat. You simply will not find better views in South Florida, with hundreds of boats navigating the waterways.

Have eaten here many times for lunch and dinner. Always great! Always get fresh fish. Decided to step out of the box and get the house favorite , joes skillet. It was to be scallops, shrimp and fish in a white sauce. Looked great and had nice flavor. The problem was the scallops and shrimp were the size of pencil erasers. I think they were the canned stuff. Pieces of fish were good. Won't get that again.

This pertains to Dockside, the more casual space of the Fisheries on the ground level. It's what I was expecting, a nice place to sit on the water. A dated bar/inside area (not in a bad way), and outside seating right on the dock of the marina. You can look down into the water below at the tarpon and nurse sharks from your table. And look across the inlet to the nice and nicely lit villas on Harbor Beach. Watch the water taxis roll in and out.

Good drink menu and drink specials. We didn't try a ton of the menu but enjoyed their signature Joe's Sizzler Skillet. Didn't enjoy the fried gator appetizer--a mound of tiny pieces so there's way too much breading per each tiny piece of meat that it basically feels like a plate of fried crumbs. Prices on items like burgers are very fair and that's probably a good thing to get. Just a nice place to go, including walking past some of the yachts after dinner. You can buy bait to feed the tarpons after dinner and walk around to look at the docked yachts.. (I eventually realized that they will dart to the breading and blah pieces of ciabatta bread I was throwing them, but not eat it, so probably best to avoid throwing your non-fish food into the water).

The food was good. Not fantastic. The experience was great! The fish swim right by the table and kids are always feeding them. The view of the inter coastal was awesome. I would definitely come back. I really had a good time. Bring the kids. They will have fun.

We eat here every time we come to Fort Lauderdale. The atmosphere is really awesome right on the ICW. The food is above average, but nothing to write home about. The service has been great everytime. Some servers are friendlier that others, but it seems to depend on how busy they are. Feeding the fish is fun for everyone, adults and kids alike. Do it at night when the lights are on.

The food was good, my family had grouper, snapper and pasta. It was good, compared to other venues visited during this trip. The bread was very good, but the wait was excessive, even though apologetic.
