Well this was definitely the life, a relaxing week in Fort Lauderdale after a week in Memphis. The staff were great especially Jarvis and the concierge Patrick. Both very helpful. The East End Brassiere was fab, the service in there was fantastic they know how to look after their guests. Pool was good and the food at their cafe was great too. I would recommend this to anyone.

My friends and I had lunch at the bar by the pool and were so pleased with the service. Food was amazing, drinks were even better. The pool was packed and there were only two, sometimes one bartender and our food and drinks came quickly. We had so much fun up there and were treated so nicely that we came back at night to the hotel bar where the service was just as outstanding. I highly recommend coming here for lunch & drinks poolside and then cocktails at the main bar at night. The bartenders are nice on the eyes, so that's always good too!

The pro's: Wonderful valets, wonderful concierges, outstanding gym and rooftop pool area. Best Bloody Mary I have had in years. Great breakfast with good waiters. Beautiful 1 bedroom suite and small kitchenette. Amazing huge bathroom..more than expected. Poolside bar/food service very good and surprisingly good food! I read some reviews expressing disappointment with the amount of lounge chairs available but frankly never had any problem whatsoever with this. And the hot tub was the perfect temperature, as was the pool.

The con's: Not many but a few; East End Brasserie Restaurant on first floor automatically adds a tip to your bill and also leaves a line for "tip". So, if you aren't paying attention you end up paying a 36% tip! Does not sit well with us. Also, had a mediocre experience at the happy hour but nothing major.

The bottom line: Loved the location and felt very pleased overall with our experience here. Would love to stay here again on our next Florida vacation.

From the minute we checked in the service was excellent. The suite was spacious and the view of the beach incrediable. We spent a fair amount of time at the pool and the pool side restaurant - Francesco was amazing with frequent checks on the guests to make sure we had what we wanted. Service in the main restaurant, housekeeping and valet all were helpful and went out of their way.

A walk across the street gave you a beautiful beach and the location at the north end of the beach allowed for easy access to restaurants and bars.

Will be a place to return too....

Room Tip: A room a bit higher overlooking the pool and beach

The Atlantic is a lovely hotel directly across the street from one of the best beaches in Florida. The suite we rented was massive and gorgeous, and the service was impeccable. Even so, the hotel is beginning to fray around the edges. The convenience shop - where one might expect to buy newspapers and sundries is closed. And the restaurant on the ground floor is unreasonably expensive and...annoying. By this I mean that its late-night menu is extremely limited - and while one can order things like sandwiches from room service in the evening, the kitchen will not prepare such lighter fare for consumption in the restaurant proper after 5. It's a small thing, but annoying nonetheless, especially in view of how much one is paying for one's room - and the fact that room service meals are prepared in the same kitchen that cooks for the restaurant. A second annoyance contributes to the suspicion that the hotel goes out of its way to extract every possible penny from its guests. Checks in the restaurant include an 18% "gratuity" for the waiter - but underneath the total is a separate space for adding a "tip." And in case you can't do the math, the check does it for you, "helpfully" the additional amounts you might to add as a tip for 16%, 18% and 20% (as I recall). So if you are not paying attention, you might easily add 18% tip to the check - which already includes an 18% tip. This seems a deceptive practice, and left me a bit wary of the place.

Room Tip: Suites include a sleep-sofas that are surprisingly comfortable and quite separate from the actual bedroom.
