One of the best places we have stayed in Fort Lauderdale; great room, nicely decorated, well equiped kitchenette, spacious bathroom with tub and shower. Right across the street from a beautiful part of the public beach. Close to all the Fort Lauderdale attractions and restaurants and the hotel restaurant is one of the best on the "strip". If you are looking for a great place to stay, this is the hotel. We will be back!

The Atlantic, set right on the ocean on Ft. Lauderdale beach truely a great resort! The rooms are very well laid out (we had an ocean front room) that had a great balcony (rm 809). Perfect to sit outside and sip your morning coffee while you watch the sunrise over the Atlantic.

Another great part about this hotel is that it is in a very quite part of the beach, yet only a short 5-10 minute walk to/from the center of all the beach action (Beachwalk Place...with fun places like Fat Tuesdays, etc).

The real positives to this resort include: Great pool deck (due to weather we didn't get to experience it but it look awesome), an very helpful front desk staff (thanks Stepan for all your help), The VIEW!, an extreemly comfortable bed, a bathroom I want to move into my home, and easy access to everything!

We made a quick run to 7-11 the first day for a few mixers and snack stuff, and the in room frig and microwave came in very handy!

Our dinner choices during our 3 night stay were pefect for us...the first night we ordered pizza from our fav place in town that delivers to the beach (It's A Pizza). On Sat night we tried a new place...#2 on TA...Mario's Catalina. What a find! I lucked into this via a recent Living Social special. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We were so tired Sun we just warmed up the leftover Pizza and enjoyed the Cowboy's Sun night in the room.

The only downside...I'm a coffee snob...so I did have to walk to Starbucks (at the Westin)...about 5 min away. I wish The Atlantic would upgrade their in room coffee selection. Royal Cup just is not up to the standard of this hotel. The other minor issue was that I killed a huge roach early one morning in our room hallway. I totally forgot to tell the front desk about it. Not that I wanted to complain, I just wanted them to know they might need to spray.

My partner and I also enjoyed easy access to one of the newly opened (refurbed) gay resort & spa's (Royal Palms). It was a short 5 min walk away and we had a great spa package (massage and body scrub) for $150pp. Very enjoyable and we just hung out by their pool on Saturday afternoon. They had a bar and place for lunch ...we both had a good salad for lunch.

Overall a top notch hotel. We love Ft. Lauderdale and this was another great stay on the beach.

Room Tip: Make sure and get an ocean front....the time on the balcony was some of the best of the weekend!

Dear Travelguys,
Thank you for your thoughtful comments. We are so happy to hear how much you enjoyed staying with us, and for updating your profile photo to one taken here! It's a spectacular view. We are reviewing options for our in-room coffee service and considering Nespresso. In any case, we serve Illy Coffee in our restaurants, lobby and in room dining. Thank you for being our guest. We look forward to your next visit.

For $10 dollars the offer what they call "margarita pizza". What arrived was a pizza the size of a normal plate with sliced tomatoes on top. I would honestly reccomend calling dominos if you want a better pizza. Do not order the pizza EVER.

Dear Bflynn,
Thanks for your nice rating of the hotel. I'm sorry that the pizza was disappointing. We are developing some new pizzas that will match the overall quality of the hotel. Please reach out to me at the hotel. I'd love to invite you back for a taste test. Thanks again for being our guest.

A two night stay at The Atlantic was just what we needed for a quick getaway. We stayed in a Ocean View Studio (#1004) which was hugh...glad we didn't take an upgrade to a one bedroom suite with a partial ocean view. The room was directly across from the elevator but due to the layout of the Studio having a long foyer before you reach the bedroom, absolutely no noise is heard from outside. The small kitchenette which is fully stocked with a two burner stove top was helpful to prepare a quick breakfast which we enjoyed sitting out on the balcony with the full view of the beach and pool area.

The bathroom was VERY big offering double sinks and a large separate shower from the tub. Although the lighting was way too dim which made it difficult when applying makeup.

The beach is located directly across the road from the hotel and not difficult to cross at all. You can ask the Front Desk for beach towels to take there with you. There is an option to rent recliners at $10 each & a beach umbrella also at $10 that are on the beach. The rental is offered by a Fort Lauderdale city employee not the hotel. But we were just fine with the towels.

Not too many chairs out in the pool area which is small & the pool is not deep at only 4ft. but we still enjoyed it a bit but we preferred being out on the beach. There is also a hot tub in the pool area.

The spa offers separate male & female steam room, sauna & hot tub areas which are very nice. Although it was disappointing for my husband since the sauna & steam room were not working in the men's area and hadn't been for over two weeks as we were told they are waiting for a part needed for the repairs. Wish we would have been told this prior to heading down for some relaxation time.

Wi-Fi & business center are free and they offer one computer where you can easily print boarding passes.

Valet parking only is available at $28 per day with unlimited in/out privileges but be prepared for the valet to stand and wait for a tip for taking or getting your car.

Turndown service was given only after we called the first night but never happened the second but since we got back so late we didn't bother calling.

Tyreik a housekeeping houseman was the only person that really stood out in terms of service. He was genuinely very polite and a pleasure to speak with.

The restaurants in the area are definitely tourist prices so the fact that we had a car allowed us to venture out of the area and enjoy some great restaurants not too far away. We even went to a club in Hollywood which a family member recommended...Wednesday is Salsa night so we had a great time.

Overall the location and size of the room is why we would return to The Atlantic Resort & Spa.

Room Tip: It's well worth paying for a full ocean view.

I frequent thus resort and spa often as a day guest using the spa and pool and it is one if my favorite days! I have stayed there twice and the rooms are beautiful. Balconies overlook the ocean, furnishings and perfect, full kitchen. There were four girlfriends and we had plenty of room and the bathroom is large so no issues! My only concern for the first time is that there were maybe 20 lounge chairs at the pool which is about half of what there usually is. We got there at 10 am and couldn't get chairs. We were just told that some had broken. I am certain something is in the works with this but it is the only reason I didn't give it all 5 stars. Overall the service is top notch!

This hotel was highly recommended to us by friends. The front desk and valet parking team are excellent making sure that you are warmly welcomed and looked after. We visited over Thankgiving weekend and watched the scrum for sun beds aroud the pool on the morning of Thanksgiving, The pool area is very small and the sun loungers have seen better days. The hotel rooms are pricey but large rooms with a fantastic sea view. However daily cleaning was a bit hit and miss. Often we were left without something. No big deal but for this standard of hotel the quality was not consistent. Overall the holiday was enjoyable and there are lots of things to do in Fort Lauderdale.
