“Riverwalk: Watched it evolve”
Reviewed July 1, 2012

Having been in Ft Lauderdale for quite some time, I've watched the area change a few times but they did a magnificent job for walking that area around the Ft Lauderdale waterways, you can eat, get a water taxi, go somewhere else. Many restaurants and nice bar locations. View is great.

“Walk along the million dollar yachts.”
Reviewed January 18, 2012

The new river can be picked up at its intersection with Las Olas Blvd. Take the 1 hour cruise on the Carrie b and you can see old florida and the million dollar homes on the waterways -or just stoll along the banks and enjoy the boats and the palms

“Needs Improvement”
Reviewed January 15, 2012

We took Riverwalk from the beginning at the boat anchorage and marina to Stranahan House. It is a relatively short walk with some detours away from the river along some hoardings and them back again. You cannot pass along the Riverside Hotel, so the path takes a final cut along SE 5th Avenus to Las Olas. I would like to see it much longer but private property along the river blocks it. The recession has closed some venues, especially bars and restaurants near SW 4th Avenue. Enjoy the water, big boats parked along the riverfront and the green space. Restaurants along the river and Las Olas are quite expensive, so it could be a good day to take a picnic. Ft Lauderdale Trolley service runs near the riverwalk so you could be dropped off and picked up at different locations. There are many cultural activities taking place in this space, so it might be more interesting to plan a visit when there are some planned activities.
