Just steps from the beach but a totally different vibe. Great stop along the waterway for bike riding, skating, fishing or picnics. Mix of shade and open spaces for games.

Gorgeous white sand with calm aqua water, this is a very relaxing place to spend an afternoon. On the weekends, you can watch the cruise ships as they sail past the beach out of Port Everglades on their way to vacation wonderlands. Always a pleasant experience - and when the sun gets too hot, just cool off in the refreshing surf.

Great place to get away from the crowds during week days. Can get very crowded on weekends. Great pace for walking, roller blading or bicycling. Nice shaded areas for picnics. Worth the entry fee.

This a beautiful park that sits between the intercostal waterway and the beach. It is a great place to walk the dog or ride a bike without fear of being hit by a car.You can spend the day fishing,BBQ cooking, biking skating,or just relaxing. There is a small fee to drive inside. The park is full of Florida natives ( trees and plants). There are small hikes that take you thru different foliage areas.

For a state park, it could definitely be more maintained but I think, like the rest of Ft Lauderdale, they realize everything is undergoing renovations so they must figure it's not worth it...stay away for awhile until the area is revitalized. Try Hollywood Beach instead.
