We are familiar with Highland Hammock State Park and it did not compare with that. But considering that it is considerably smaller and so near the beach, it does offer quite a bit. History of park is interesting. Tunnel access under A1A is nice.Relaxing to sit by intercoastal and watch the boats. Disappointed that visitor center was closed when we were there.

Needs to be cleaned up and perhaps add some interesting reasons to go there. The train is dated and needs refurbishing.

Got away from crowds and felt like natural Florida. Quiet and relaxing. Tunnel access to beach and you have views of the intercostal!

We rented bikes here on a cool day in Fort Lauderdale and it was great! You can take the bikes off the property too. Comfy seats, nice staff, easy access. Such a better deal than getting a bike outside the B Ocean hotel.
