This park should be awarded prettiest state park in florida. The trees, the trails, the upkeep and the view of the water way are all stunning. the best time to visit is around noon during the week when everyone is at work and not roller blading in the park

Hugh Taylor Birch State Park is a great spot to check out. Pay the fee at the gate and get great access to both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Fort Lauderdale Beach. A free audio tour gives you great insight to the natural sights (I saw a sea turtle digging an egg nest last week!) or walk the trails solo and feel like Indiana Jones. I love running in the park. There are so many twists and turns that it's never boring.

Some beautiful banyan trees, miles of trails, and wonderful picnic spots along the water. Clean rest rooms.

Good view of both sides of intercoastal and ocean side. Not worth going out of your way to see, unless you like to walk, run or roller balded.
