I ate at The Plaza Bistro frequently during my weeklong stay at The Royal Palms as the resort is right across the restaurant. The food is delicious and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. Even when you order a typical item, they have managed to modify the flavor just perfectly such that you feel like you are tasting it for the first time. I tried the duck-filled pasta, hanger steak, ahi tuna, crab sandwich, apple pie, creme-brulee cheesecake, and Grand Marnier and Lemoncello gelato. The highlight of my visit, though, was a recommendation by the manager to try triple chocolate cake with port wine. I enjoyed the pairing immensely. As a downside, I came back to Pittsburgh three pounds heavier. :)
