Description: After twelve years of establishing New River Pizza as the best place in Broward for a true New York-style pie, accomplished proprietor Randy Wilcox wasn't satisfied to stand pat: He has expanded the concept, changed the name to New River Grill & Pizza, and transformed the restaurant into an exciting new dining destination. With the reasonable prices, comfy attractive decor, friendly service and-- most importantly-- tasty dishes, New River Grill & Pizza is the type of place where you can easily become a regular.

Exceptional Italian selection here, very fresh, best rolls in town! Huge portions, reasonable beer and wine list. Very friendly servers. The pizza kitchen is exposed to the dining room and fun to watch in action on a busy night. One of the best kept secrets near downtown.

Our flight arrived at FLL around 11pm. We quickly picked up our rental car and drive to the Hyatt Pier Sixty-six and checked in. We had not eaten since mid afternoon and we were both hungry. We asked about take out and New River Grill was suggested. We looked at the menu online after we were given the telephone number and name. At midnight, whoever answered the phone was very pleasant and helped us place our order for Chicken wings. Yes, thats exactly what we wanted and they were on the menu! They offered different types. Garlic. Honey Garlic. Teriyaki. Raspberry and some kind of HOTHOT ones too. Also offered, on the bone or boneless. Being traditional we wanted them on the bone. We ordered 10 honey garlic and 10 raspberry and an order of fries. They took our cell phone number. Wouldn't you know it, they called back that they didn't have raspberry so teriyaki it would be. Not more than 20-25 minutes they called and were with our order in the lobby. You need to go down to the lobby to get your order. The wings were HOT and absolutely amazing, awesome, some of the best wings we have ever had - hence this review! And it all arrived HOT! We would recommend..

I work overnights and order delivery most of them. Wanting a change from my usual stand-bys, I decided to give New River Grill a try. Actually two tries. Everybody can have one off night, and the menu and reviews made the place look fantastic. Very deceiving. Pizza was stale and cardboard-like. Sauce tasted canned, and cheeses were of poor quality. Another night's chicken parm sub was equally bad. In addition, New River charges at least $1-$5 more per item than better quality food at local rivals Big C's Downtown Pizzeria, Primanti Brothers, and Dough Boys. Overall I ate about one quarter of the total food received. The rest went into the trashcan, and I went home from work hungry. I will not order from here again and cannot in good faith recommend this place to anyone!

My partner and I went for the first time on Saturday evening. They offer a large selection of pizza, pasta, salads and sandwiches. Most dinners are around $15. I had lasagne and my partner had shrimp and pasta. Both dinners were excellent. The portions were huge. We could not eat all of it. The dinners came with a basket of garlic rolls hot from the oven which were excellent. We each ordered the house side salad for $1.99 extra and it was nice but not exciting. You are able to pick your choice of pasta with many of the dinners.

Most of the customers were eating pizza which will be our choice when we return. It seems to be a family type place. There were a lot of children enjoying the pizza.

The wait staff was very helpful and was quick with the refills on our drinks.
There is plenty of free parking across the side street.

We noticed that they have a large take out business and that part is open until 4:00 AM. The pick up section is next to the main restaurant.

We will definitely return to this plce.
