Awesome food! The seafood was great and the view is even better. You can see the mega yachts and the intercoastal. Great spot to have a bite!

“Rude waitstaff”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 8, 2013

The view, the location and a good menu. The Pelican Landing has it. But the waitstaff certainly needs some training. After spilling water over my pregnant wife, the first word out of the waitress was: SH** !!!. Loud enought to hear over a few tables and not the kind of reaction you'd expect from a establishment of the Hyatt hotel chain.
And at the end of our lunch we asked for 2 espressos. The coffee clearly arrived without saucers, no spoons and the coffee spilled around the cups and smudged. Very unprofessional.
Don't get me wrong. I go there quite a few times a year. The menu has a nice non standard selection and the presentation is good.
But to ask 20%, 22 % or 25% tip on such mediocre service and nothing that says; OH WOW this requires exceptional tipping, I would suggest to just eat there.
Leave a tip appropriate to your experience, like maybe 10%, if that.
The manager needs to get this place straightened out. Hairdoes and tattoes are maybe ok for the hardrock cafe, but not for a 5 star hotel chain, restaurant location.
Sorry.

“Great view with fun wait staff”

Go to Pelican Landing, it's a great time around sunset. Pretty good prices and the view is killer. Just go and have some drinks, although the food isn't that bad.

“A Lunch Spot That Will Leave You Highly Pleased”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 28, 2013

Sensational views to watch passing boats and moored yachts. We dined on the outdoor deck. Our party of 5 was 110 percent pleased with every aspect of our visit. Our choices provided a lovely blend of color and blended tastes. Appetizers of coconut shrimp and plantain chips with fresh mango and pineapple salsa were great starts. My choice of Caribbean Chicken Salad was a great choice. Fresh greens and nicely seasoned chicken accompanied by a tangy chili sauce. Fish burritos with Mahi Mahi and black beans and rice were alos highly enjoyed at our table. We finished our meal with mixed berry cheesecake and key lime pie. Service was very good. Adan was attentive and friendly. Loved the visit!

“best sunset”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 11, 2013

great atmosphere for watching sunset. very friendly staff, but the food is very overpriced for what you get. the food is very tasty, but very small portions. drinks were very good but again, pricey. that said, it was worth the cost to be right next to the water and enjoy the gorgeous ft. lauderdale sunset. would go back in a heartbeat!
