We were looking for a budget hotel to stay in the night before our cruise leaving from port Everglades. This fit the bill! It is an older hotel that does not impress from the exterior. But the price was right, they had a $5 shuttle from airport and to ship, had a big grocery store/liquor store within walking distance, a beach almost within walking distance (we walked it no problem, but our friends preferred a $6 taxi ride), newly renovated very clean rooms, and a really charming interior courtyard with a lovely pool and tiki bar.

I would highly recommend it if you're not hung up on having a fancy-looking hotel.

This hotel was not handy for us, but was quite nice. The pool area was nice, with a bar in the tiki hut. However, prices were high.
The area is not great, but there are some good stores within a few blocks.
Shuttle service from airport was added to the room bill. Price to take a cab to cruiseport was the same as the shuttle. Hotel is located a long drive (30-45 min) from air and cruise ports, through heavy traffic. Cab was quicker.
Rooms are in need of an overhaul (dark and dull), but were clean.

As mentioned in the reviews this hotel is average. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Each room has a micro-wave oven The pool and pool bar is convenient and never busy. There is a breakfast daily located in a small room off from the lobby, however the breakfast room is locked at 9:00 am daily (when breakfast is over) and food is not allowed out of the room. There was an incident that occured when one person in our party was locked out of her room and one man (don't know if he was a registered guest) opened her room with a pocket knife and then called her several times during the night. In the morning when this incident was reported to the management, she was immediately given another room. Although this incident was not reported to the police because my friend could not identify the person or determine if he was a registered guest, it was a bit disturbing that someone could have easy access to the rooms. My suggestion to anyone planning to stay here would be to use the chain lock whenever you are in the room and always use the safe that is provided. Since this property is a motel style property, it is almost impossible to screen everyone who enters, However in this case we were pleased by the way Management handled this situation. Since the gates are not locked, always enter and exit with another person and be aware of your surroundings at all times. I would recommend this property for short (pre and post) cruise stays. There is a shuttle service to the airport and to the ports for a fee. I am told the cab fair is approximately $35.00.

Room Tip: All rooms have easy access to the pool and pool bar, there are three levels and an elevator to get t...

I am the boyfriend of A F reviewer and the brother of reviewer Kweaver not the same person as stated by the manager's reply. Myself, my girlfriend and my sister along with our best friend all stayed at this hotel. The 4th person was not registered because he stayed with us after the concert instead of driving home to Miami which should have not been issue since the room was equipped 4 people. He is the one who had his backpack stolen with a computer in it. We did not realize our items were stolen until 9am because we had been at the beach all day followed by a concert and were robbed in the middle of the night. As soon as we awoke we realized the items were gone and called police. My girlfriend's complaint was to warn guests that there was a robbery but mostly to state how disrespectful the staff was and uncooperative to the paying customer (my girlf AF). She knows and regrets to not deadbolting the door since we did allow our sister to come back to the room later than us but her things were stolen as well so we know it occured once we were all asleep in the room. The police told all 4 of us that the cameras were not equipped with night vision hence why they could not pick anything up. The housekeeper also opened the door for us while were wating outside for police because were locked out once the room was rekeyed but she did not ask any questions (security issue). We were also told by two guests in a nearby room that when they came home late the evening we were robbed that the gates were not locked by our room (near the tiki, stairwell and parking lot). The 4th guest my sister who came in after us also stated the gates were not locked when she came back. The cops did not take any witnesses or statements written or recorded and the manager did not cooperate with us like the reviews below by my girlfriend and sister bsaid because they were not taking us seriously because we look young even though we are all almost 30 years old and it is not a crime to attend a concert that was the whole reason we chose that location. We had nothing to gain by lying about our incident and putting us through the hassle and stress that we went through of having cards, keys, and phones stolen and having to deal with replacing these items to get home and when we got home. I am glad the manager does not welcome us back at that property as we will never stay at that property again or a Best Western even though after speaking to coporate we are told they are all owned individually owned we will be turned off by Best Western due to the horrible service and experiense. You can see since our stay there has been two reviews stating bad service as well so this is apparently an ongoing issue. My advice to anyone staying at this hotel. Do not expect great customer service. Be sure to deadbolt your room and use a safe.

Room Tip: Use a deadbolt and safe.

This is our second stay at this hotel. The first time, we only stayed one night. The second time, we stayed two nights. The owners here are extremely stingy. None of the toiletries were replenished. At breakfast, you had to eat in the dining room and not even a banana was allowed out. I usually bring a tray down and bring a few things back to my husband who likes to sleep a little late. Breakfast is also over at 8:45 which is early for us. That is closing time for Saturday and Sunday as well. All of the liquor bottles at the bar have those stop-pour devices on them to prevent a real shot from being poured out. The bartender is without a doubt, the best thing this hotel has going for it. She is so fun to talk to and we remembered her from 2 years prior. The pool is warm and tropical. The shuttle service to the port is NOT FREE. It is $5 per person and is either a regular shuttle van or in our case today, it is a comfy chartered bus with wifi. Good thing, because at the time of this writing, we have been on it for 2 and a half HOURS! We are not at our ship yet and we are not the last to be dropped off either. Next time, we will be taking a cab. It's a $35 trip from what I have read. There is now way I would complain to the staff as I am sure it would do no good from what other reviewers have written in these reviews...
