The restaurant is an authentic Brazilian-American "Churrascaria" or steakhouse that combines the cuisines of Southern Brazil with the generous spirit of Texas.Treat yourself to our 50-60 item seasonal salad area including appetizers, gourmet vegetables, soups, and salads. Turn your place card to green and prepare to be swarmed by a troop of carvers generously serving various cuts of seasoned beef, lamb, pork, chicken and Brazilian sausage, all accompanied by traditional side items and house-baked Brazilian cheese bread. As you dine endlessly on Brazilian fare, let one of our in-house wine connoisseurs select the perfect pairing from our extensive, award-winning wine lists, or sip on a freshly-made signature cocktail-the Caipirinha. Complete your dining experience with one of our many decadent dessert selections, and then relax with an after-dinner drink, steaming espresso and enjoy the ambiance and service perfection that is uniquely Texas de Brazil.

Five of us went there for dinner on a sunday evening. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The meat was good, they had good cuts cooked based on your liking. The restaurant was closing at 9 pm, but they let us know earlier that we will not be hurried out at 9 and we could take our time and be there as long as we could. We left at 9:45.

The only issue we all observed was that the buffet spread wasn't that big. It was small compared to the other brazilian steakhouses I have been to. While it didn't bother me, some of my colleagues did notice it. So, it depends on the individual.

I will definitely go there again.

Had always wanted to try Texas De Brazil here in Fort Lauderdale, so for our anniversary off we went.

We were seated immediately, and waited, and waited, and waited, finally our waiter, Chris, came over and asked what we would like to drink, we ordered a bottle of wine and while waiting for it, went up to the buffet.

The buffet is not bad, but there is not much of a range of items, we have been to other Brazilian steak houses that had double the size. The soup was a lobster bisque which I was looking forward to, upon pulling back the lid, there was a film on top, sort of like what you would find on pudding that has been sitting.....I forewent the soup. The other items were not bad, but we did find that everything was very, very salty, so be prepared.

Went back to our table and still no wine, we started eating and about 10 minutes later Chris came with the wine bottle, did not show it to us, he went to a separate section, opened the bottle and then poured it into our glasses, didn't even let us taste it to make sure it was ok....then he just sat the bottle on the table (it was a Riesling) we had to ask him to please get a wine bucket with some ice to keep it cold.

Meats were good and very plentiful, but again, very, very, very salty (don't bother with turning your chip up or down, they come over whatever side it is on, if you see the gaucho with the lamb chop, be sure to trip him because you will only see him once or twice during your whole meal). When finished we ordered dessert and waited, and waited, when I finally asked Chris about the wait he said something about a large party in the back (I still have no clue what this had to do with two pieces of cake, but we went with it).

Overall it wasn't bad, it was just meh....the place although nicely appointed, is very, very loud and not the standard we had thought it would be. We actually sat the whole time with a couple across from us pawing at each other to the point where it was getting a little over sexual, almost soft core porn (he would reach over and paw her breasts and then put his camera under the table to take pictures of her if you get our drift....we brought this up to our waiter and he just laughed).

Would we go back.....if it was a last resort, yes, but would we make it a plan to go back, no.

Do your homework, there are a few other Brazilian Steakhouses in Fort Lauderdale that, for the same price, are a much better deal, and a much better atmosphere.

We get to dine there at least once a month. We have eaten in many rodizios and they all serve until you surrender but none serve sensational, quality food like Texas de Brazil. I have reviewed this restaurant before and I must offer you two hints.
1) Wear loose clothing. I promise you that your pants will be tight when you finish.
2) EAT SMART. Stay away from the wonderful breads and potatoes. Also - do not fill up at the magnificent salad bar. A small taste is more than enough.
3) Try the lamb chops - medium and no salt.
GO NOW AND ENJOY!

Took my wife here for her birthday. The service, food and atmosphere were great. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The salad bar was fresh, filled with many extras. Of course, the meat tasted excellent. It was tough to turn down any of the food, especially at the end of the dinner. Great time.

This is an up market "eat as much as you like" restaurant! The only difference is that the food in this place is amazing! Wear your stretchy pants and starve yourself all day long! Great atmosphere and service, well worth a visit!
