“Comfortable, attractive hotel steps from the beach”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

I stayed one night here on business and wish I had had more time. I was upgraded from a double to a one bedroom without asking. The rooms were imaculate, spacious and attractively decorated. The terrace overlooking the Intercoastal water-way with its parade of yachts was too hot to sit on in early September but would be nice in late autumn through spring . The water taxi stops right at the property. I did not use the outdoor pool as you are only 150 yards from the beach. If you want to use the kitchen though, be warned that the cupboards were empty of spices, condiments and the like. Room service delivered dinner promptly and warm. All in all, very nice.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor and any view but west.

I have just checked out after a 7 night stay in the hotel.

The hotel met my expectations completely. My suite was clean & comfortable with a great view of the water and a balcony with a couple of chairs and a small table.

It was great to have a fridge although the kitchenette didn't have full supplies, e.g. There were 3 forks but no knives.

Gym was small but more than adequate. All the equipment looked new and the room was clean.

Location was great as next door to the Galleria mall and on the water taxi route. Also only a few minutes walk from the beach.

Overall a good hotel in a good location and I would definitely come back he if coming to Fort Lauderdale again.

I booked a 2 bedroom suite for 2 nights this past weekend to accomodate 5 people. We were greeted by Christopher at the check in desk, he offered big smiles, excellent customer service, a room upgrade, and warm cookies. We faced a minor issue on Saturday and situation was quickly remedied. Margaret at the pool bar was amazing, Rosie, a waitress in the restaurant was so friendly and affable. Each staff member we came across during our 2 night and 3 day staycation was warm, friendly, willing to help, and genuinly seemed happy to be there. I have stayed in plenty of hotels and will maintain I have never received such quick and hospitable service as I have during our stay at the Gallery One.

Stayed here one night before cruising on Oasis Of The Seas the following day. Was greeted at the taxi by the bag handler who promptly took our bags from us. We arrived at 10am and our room was ready! We were greeted warmly at the front desk and given some really good chocolate chip cookies. Booked a two bedroom suite as there was four of us traveling. Lobby and hallways are nice and clean and the room was neat with plenty of space for four including a bathroom in each bedroom, kitchen with fridge, microwave and dining area. Area is super convenient as there is a publix supermarket, cvs lot's of restaurants in the area and the galleria mall which has an excellent food court. .Only minor issue is that I felt that the balcony chairs and decor were not as nice as the room but not a deal breaker . Will return next time I cruise out of FT Lauderdale and definitely for more than 1 night. Oh and received cookies when checking out too..lol

This is a good hotel with a great location and friendly staff. We were there for two nights and just before tropical storm Isaac arrived.

The hotel has a lot of good points. The valet parking and housekeeping teams were both excellent, very helpful, friendly and more than willing to help. The suites are large, clean and well equipped and the location is excellent. The pool is a good size, the gym is small but well equipped and you are in walking distance of a really good choice of restaurants.

The check-in though was pretty chaotic. I understand that tropical storm Isaac had caused a lot of changes but it took a couple of hours to sort out check-in and get the room long after the official ready time. That sort of wait was not ideal sitting in the reception with tired small children.

Overall this is a good hotel, but the reception team seem to struggle when it gets busy.

My sister and I stayed here for one night August 25. We had reserved a queen room with a water view. Because of the inpending storm Issac I guess the hotel wasn't as busy, so we got upgraded to a larger suite. The suite had a kitchen, eating area, living room, king bedroom, 2 queen bedroom and two bathrooms, with a walk out balcony water view. The room was nice, the beds comforter and bathrooms clean. We also got two warm chocolate chip cookies when we checked in.
My only complaints were the walls had marks all over them, water marks (I guess) and scuff marks. And the silk flowers and plants needed a dusting bad. The door to the bacony had finger prints all over it and the couch sank when we sat on it. Little things that made it not seem as clean as it could be.
Our room faced the street (East Sunrise Blvd) and the harbor and you could see the ocean far off to the right. If your a light sleeper, ask to be away from the street side, we heard traffic all night. We were on the ninth floor and it was still loud. And with the weather being bad, I thought the traffic wouldn't be as bad, but we stil heard it all night. Also, the bridge raises to let boats go through, only happened one time when we were there, because no boats were moving because of storm. We did hear the noise of the bridge that one time, I don't know it is bad to deal with all night, if more boats travel through.
The really good thing about this hotel is it is within walking distance to beach. And the Mall is just next door. We walked to the mall and shopped and ate at the food court. Also, the have Star Bucks coffee in the lobby to buy.
