“Yumo Tacos”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 13, 2013

Went on a Sunday afternoon while there for the Ft. Lauderdale half marathon. Atmosphere just incredible so much "eye candy" everywhere. Ordered three tacos, steak, pork and chicken which were absolutely delicious lots of seasonings. Tortillas were very fresh. Had side of pinto beans and spicey rice. I judge a Mexican restaurant on their refried pinto beans if they aren't good then nothing else will be, having said that refried beans were creamy and delicious. Rice had a kick to it and also tasty. Their tortilla chips and salsa were very good as well. I could go on and on about our server Jerry he was just incredible, top notch service always there checking drinks etc.

“Great tequila!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 12, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled upon this place while strolling down las olas and decided to stop for a drink. No regrets!! Amazing tequila selection. And they pour you "glasses" instead of just shots. Had a couple we had never heard of before and they were both awesome. Try the boo-yah reposado! Atmosphere was great, and though we didn't eat I did stare at the dishes coming out and they looked promising. Will definitely get a bite next time were in the area!

Best service. Best flavors. Best tacos. Really the best Mexican street corn on the cob (must get). Everything has always been great.

“Rocco Taco (CHECKED) Off the List”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2013

My first experience was the fact that when i made a reservation i was told they are busy on Friday nights and they have a 2 hour time limit? OK, i understand you don't want someone sitting endlessly at a table but when they called to confirm my reservation they told me again. I then received a call at 7:03 asking me if i was on my way for my 7 reservation, i was in fact almost there and again was told there was a 2 hour table limit.

We were seated quickly a party of 6 at a table that had 5 chairs, the hostess did not say anything just stood there so we decided to take a chair from an empty table and add it to ours when she said "that chair belongs to that table, i was going to get you one?" well why didn't you say that.

The Guacamole everyone brags about is in fact made table side and lacks seasoning, i guess it is meant for you to put your own in. The Ceviche appetizer was also lacked seasoning, the fajita style dish was acceptable, they call it something else.

The drinks did not taste like there was any liquor in them, no i am not a bartender but i do drink enough to know.

I went because i heard atmosphere and experience was great, well food quality makes the experience. Oh and we were celebrating a birthday and when the waitress put the sombrero on my wifes head i asked if she was keeping that and the waitress said no, i thought she was kidding, but no she took it and then went to antother table and used it on someone elses head? those things cost like 1.00 just charge us for a new one and call it a day.

Our group would not go again, for the value, quality and pretentious host staff there are plenty of other Mexican places that will gladly take your money.

“Tacos from a guy named Rocco? We should have thought twice.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 4, 2013

Went here based on the positive Tripadvisor reviews and was very disappointed in the food. Apparently This place is mostly about making money and selling booze. Guacamole was mediocre made with avocados the seemed to me past their prime (overripe) and were visually scarred (does this mean cheap sourced?) Result: not so great tasting Guacamole. Fish Tacos tasted bad. Made with frozen fish we found out later. Come on u could do better? Black beans, not cooked enough. But Florida audiences don't seem to care as this place was busy and successful.

I could go on and on, but obviously don't recommend this place and would not go back. Try Dos Caminos FLL, it has to be better than this place.

On a positive note, our server was stellar, wish would could take her with us to another restaurant.
