Description: Market 17 is proud to be serving delicious, creative dishes that are literally from the farm right to the tables of our diners. We call this "wine country cuisine" because the emphasis is on fresh, clean food from top purveyors along with an abundant wine list. For the more adventurous diner, Market 17 offers 'dining in the dark'. It is our chefs table in a private room that allows a new way to experience food. Once your sight is turned off, all the other senses are heightened. It's a fun and unique experience to enjoy our food. (Due to limited seating, reservations for dining in the dark can be requested via open table notes but are not guaranteed. Please call 954.835.5507 to confirm dining in the dark reservation requests.) Our menu will change daily and we'll always offer amazing tasting menus for you to sample what the chef has created. Come and experience for yourself what all the buzz is about!

we went here for dinner mid-week around 9ish. the surroundings are a little spooky (as in a deserted shopping plaza reserved for yacht sales), but the restaurant itself is beautiful....everything (once you find it) from the area reserved for patio dining to the bar and restaurant itself.

they have an extensive wine list and offer mini portions of wine (i believe these were 3 ounces), which i found to be a bit odd. but part of their concept included a tasting menu, so i guess the wine is available for sampling as well.

their ceviche was fresh but a bit dry and bland for my taste, but most places dumb the flavor of their food down for american (and tourist) tastebuds. we had the petite entrees (grouper and snapper), which were both delicious. the forbidden rice was heaven on a plate. i was tempted to order a side of this alone after i tasted it...as well as another petite entree of the duck after i spied it on the table next to us.

we shared a dessert (brownies and ice cream) that was very good as well (but the ice cream seemed overly sweet). all in all, i would highly recommend market 17. the crowd was of varying ages - some people look like they had been there since happy hour, a few families, a few couples, etc.

Ate at M17 earlier this summer. Chic place--great vibe and really good fod and service. Tapas style menu so experiment! Not cheap but everything was super fresh and tasty. Nice plate presentation too. Wine list is not too snooty--so there is a good bottle for every budget. Bar is hopping on Friday nights, too. Will be back for sure...

Three previous experiences at Market 17 were the prelude of this night. Two of the three were dinning in the dark.
This time, my wife and I were celebrating my 56th birthday and were looking forward to a nice dinner.
Market 17 fulfilled all our expectations, but our waiter, Michael, brought it up a notch... or two.
We were debating between the chef's choice vs. regular menu. Michael suggested a hybrid, where we pick up 5 - 6 "petite plates" (smaller version of regular size menu items) and he would arrange the order and pair the wine.
We had a great time. Well chosen wines and wonderful quality dinner.
Thank you Michael

I was so excited to try this restaurant. I am an organic nut and a gourmet cook myself. For me this was just not a good experience. While the ingredients were quality...you are hard pressed to locate any one of them in a dish served here. There is simply too much in each each dish. There are too many ingredients, and too much preparation. I find that the better the ingredients, the less that needs to be done to them. A great piece of fish, for instance needs very little prep...it's the fish that is the star. And they make a point to carry all organic veggies, yet I found it difficult to taste even one. Here, every dish had multiple ingredients - prepped in multiple ways. The atmosphere is lovely and the service is great. But this pricey restaurant was a big disappointment for us.
