“Pre Cruise dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Food was great, service was excellent and timely. Was not loud, even though busy. Servers advice was spot on and much appreciated. Stop here every time we are in Ft Lauderdale, and will continue whenever we are able to get out of Midwest. Yes it is expensive but just like a lot of things you get what you pay for.

“Great Dinner with a different view!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

My sister and her husband chose this dinner spot for our second night of a 7 day visit to Florida. We had a reservations and waited at the bar for about 10 minutes while our table was cleared on the deck. We started with Oysters. Everyone loved them although I'm not a fan and cannot attest to their greatness. At our table we had a fliet Mignon, the Chilean Sea Bass and 2 Yellow Snapper specials. Everything was fantastic. We are a sharing group so we each got to sample the selections and everything was excellent. We finished with a shared piece of the chocolate cake, which the 4 of us didn't finish but it was fantastic. Our server was a bit quiet and I couldn't hear him at first, but we figured him out and he did an excellent job. Overall, I think it gets short changed for being in a hotel and is well worth the visit!

“Extremely Disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

We chose this restaurant as a special place to have our final dinner before returning to Toronto. We had been down here all week celebrating our youngest sister's 50th birthday. The food was ok. The service was absoloutely abysmal. We wondered if it was because we were 4 women. We were seated in a booth which at first seemed ok but soon became a problem as it seemed to be the staging area for extra glasses, waiters who had nothing else to do and the place they rolled cutlery for setting up the tables for the next day. We had to yell at them to get them to stop arguing in front of our table. Our waiter asked another waiter to stop rolling cutlery and he said he was not disturbing us. BIG MISTAKE!!!! During our meal, the waiter mixed up my wine for my niece's, my steak for my sister's, seemed confused generally about who has ordered what. Served our coffee and then 15 mins later served us our dessert which we sent back. At this point we asked to see the Manager. We explained the ludicrously and while he was apologetic and comp'd the bill, it was too late, the damage was done. This is a classic example of not understanding who your real customer is. We have eaten in many fine restaurants and been happy to pay the cost. They clearly don't realize that women will soon control 75% of the wealth in North America, more women graduate with their MBA, more women open their own businesses...this was a classic example of discounting us as women and sitting us in the worst area of the restaurant...BIG MISTAKE!!! Bottom line...this meal was average at best with a high end price tag....way better places to spend your money....recommend Cafe Casablanca or Coconut's.

“Terrific Steaks in a wonderful setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 8, 2013

This is my favorite special occasion dining place in Fort Lauderdale. The steaks are wonderful, the wine list is excellent, the servers are polished and the view... WOW! We come here about 4 times per year and have never been disappointed.

4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2013

Really great restaurant . Great Vibe but elegant! Our table over looked all the yachts. Truely impressed w he food!! This restaurant is probably saving the Horrible hotel the Hyatt pier 66. Once I got to this great restaurant bar it made forget about my terrible room at the Hyatt.
