The hotel staff was horrible! Had to ask 3 times everyday to get our room cleaned . It literally got to the point where it was rediculous !! the location is not the best. this hotel really needs to get on top of their guest services.. They are truly lacking in that department. it should not take hours and hours to get a room cleaned

After our cruise, we avoided the crowds at the airport (8 cruise lines in port) by extending our stay at the B Ocean. On the site of a former Holiday Inn, it is within walking distance of the popular 'strip' but far enough away to be peaceful, because the Bonnet House historical gardens are to the south and the state park to the north. Great views of the ocean (which is just across the street) from the room as well as the roof top banquet rooms. Good facilities and restaurants & bars, convenience store close by and just a short walk to Galleria mall.
Only problem we had was a late cleaning of our room and hearing the 'fun' the couple was having in the next room.

This hotel was great. Clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, clean and nice bathroom. Our room was on 10th floor, with a beautiful seaview. We had dinner in the bistro, great food at reasonable prices. The staff was friendly, and especially the guys at the parking. Very service-minded, opening car doors, helping us with luggage and such. So worth the price.

We stayed there the first few days in March of 2012. We stayed 3 nights in room 917. The room was beautiful and very clean. The view of the ocean was beautiful, we had a large floor to ceiling window. We didn't find out that there was free coffee in the mornings until our second day. No coffee or tea makers were in our room. We ate at the pool bar for lunch, but that was expensive. The pool area is adequate but kind of small. They advertize an infinity pool but the pool is a regular pool that is overfilled with water so it overruns when someone swims etc. The poolside chairs were comfortable, the music played was good.
The girls (2) working the bar needed some help during lunch time, they could only get drinks so fast because it was just two of them. Parking fees were ridiculous $25, but the valets were nice. The snacks that were left in the room was $5 for any single item, but there is a publix on Cordova to stock up on your own snacks. The people working in the front didn't engage us in any coversation and didn't tell us anything about the hotel or area when checking in. The girls who worked the pool area were friendly. We would probably stay there again if we found a good deal or some type of special pricing. Beautiful and clean hotel.

Room Tip: there are no coffee or tea makers in the regular rooms, snacks in rooms are $5 for any item, views o...

We stayed at B Ocean pre-cruise because bookit had a special "mystery" deal if you bid on the offer. We were very surprised that the bid turned out such a nice hotel. We arrived long before check in time, but were told we could store our luggage and use the facilities. We decided to take that offer up and grab some lunch. We checked out a few places within walking distance and grabbed a quick lunch. We were probably not gone an hour and when we returned we inquired about checking in and were told there was a spot ready! This was awesome because we wanted to freshen up and change and utilize the pool. Barry at the front desk was awesome! He was very friendly, knowledgable of the hotel and nearby attractions and just went above and beyond in helping us. He is a defnite asset to this hotel. Upon entering our room we were blown away by the cleanliness of the room (based on other hotels we've stayed at). Not only was the room cleaned perfectly, the decor is awesome. You will see a lot of whites, but they complimented the decor with bright pillows and paintings. It all comes together very nicely. We also had a wonderful view of the ocean. I believe we were on the 3rd floor. We didn't have floor to ceiling windows like I had read about from others, but I believe that may be a higher level and honestly, we were very happy with what we had. There's a nice large work station in the room. If you are here on business and do find yourself working, while sitting at the desk, you are facing the beautiful view of the ocean. The bed had top notch linens and pillows and was very comfortable. There's a large flat screen tv and I believe by the bed a docking station for your Ipod. They also have water and snacks set out (for a fee), but this does come in handy if you feel like a little snack. The bathroom was a nice size, but in our unit, it only consisted of a shower. The shower head was upgraded and the tiling in the shower was beautiful. There was also plenty of closet space and a safe for your valuables. The lobby is beautifully decorated, and the color changing walls were a nice touch.

The pool area is lacking in my opinion. It just isn't big enough if you have a large number of people staying in the hotel trying to utilize it. Aside from size in the pool area, it was very clean and staff was on hand to pick up used towels, etc. You could also order food from the staff outside and have it by the pool. The food is nicely presented and you won't be disappointed in the taste, presentation, or quantity for the money. There's also a nice bar area set up and very friendly bartenders ready to take your order. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and they had a live calypso type band. Very nice touch!

There's plenty to see and do within walking distance and the beach is just across the street. I only wish we had a few days to explore.

One last thing to mention, do try breakfast before you leave in the lobby. It opens at 7:30 and they have a buffet or you can order off the menu. We ordered off the menu and the food was excellent. Once again, wonderful presentation and taste.

I hope more pre-cruisers begin checking out this hotel because it was fairly close to Port Everglades and the airport. I hadn't heard of this mentioned on cruise boards, but I do plan to spread the word. Thanks again B Ocean for the wonderful pre-cruise experience, and thanks Barry for making it extra nice!

My fiancee and I had a very good experience at the B Ocean during our 3 night stay. We had a beautiful ocean view from our 5th floor room. The room was clean, bright and big enought for the 2 of us. The hotel is conveniently located near the Publix grocery store, convenience stores and a couple of bars/restaurants. The beach across the street was quiet and relaxing. Make sure you have lunch at the hotel pool... the food was excellent!
We will stay at the B again for our next trip to Ft. Laduerdale.

This by far was my favourite stay on this years Florida adventure. Even though the Ocean is located across the highway the view is great. Only problem we had was we had to call to get sheets and pillows for the pull out couch. They had forgotten to put them in the closet, but it wasn't a big deal. The hotel is very nicely redone. The lobby is breathtaking and I love the Sea Turtle touch. Our view was gorgeous to the Ocean, the right hand side not as much as you could see the neighbouring stores rooftops and they had rusty buckets and delapitated roofs. Thats not B oceans fault though. Valet was very swift in retrieving our vehicle and asked each time if we needed directions.

Room Tip: I would stay flour four or higher for a nice view
