D'angelo's was a very good eating place while we were in Florida.Free valet parking and very clean and pretty inside. The food was a little pricey but absolutely delicious. we shared appetizers and I had pasta fagioli and we shared pizzas that were very good. they have a great menu and nice wine list.We will surely go back when we ar in Florida. They also have another restaurant called Casa D'angelos' down the street which is rated 7th for the best Italian in the country I would like to try it the next time I am in Florida.

Group of 7, Friday night, took a while but all went fine. Drinks at the bar and finally sat down. Took significantly longer but the manager sent over an appetizer (with some prodding) to calm the masses. The ceviche was amazing and the service spectacular! A new place to add to my repertoire.

We are big fans of chef Angelo's other Fort Lauderdale restaurant, so were excited to try his new endeavor, Pizza D'Angelo.
We visited on a Tuesday, arriving at (early) lunchtime and, although on bicycles, were nicely greeted by the valet attendant. Our pleasant hostess gave us our choice of seating. The dining room is accomodating to many needs...while we were there a large group of about 14 were seated at a long table in the main room, we chose a table in a quiet area by the bar, and there were several folks enjoying the outdoor dining area. There are several flat screen tv's set up thru-out the space, one of which plays an Italian DVD. Cute!
We settled in with acqua frizzante, Campari & Soda, and a quarter-litre carafe/glass of vino rosso. As like chef Angelo's other restaurants, the wine offerings are admirable.
After reading the extensive menu offerings, we decided on a tapa of mixed, fried seafood assortment and a pizza Pugliese. The friendly bartender took the orders of the 3 tables set up in this quiet area. The seafood mix was comprised of small, freshly fried smelts, shrimp, and calamari rings. The calamari was perfectly cooked, the small shrimp were a bit over-cooked. It was accompanied by a remarkable marinara sauce. Our wood-oven cooked pizza was made up of burrata cheese, broccoli rabe, and sausage. It arrived at table nice and hot, had a delicious, thin, crisp crust that held up well under the weight of the tasty toppings.
After lunch we lingered over a second round of drinks (after all, we were on bicycles!) and were not made to feel rushed to leave, although the restaurant was very busy now.
We recommend Pizza D'Angelo & compliment chef Angelo on another bit of Campagna in Southeast Florida...Ben fatto!

A friend of mine took me to this wonderful restaurant last year and I wanted to go back last week when I got back to Ft. Lauderdale. So much on the menu is so tasty. Try the chicken and turkey meatballs and the pepperoni pizza. You will be amazed!!!

D'Angleo Pizza, run by people trained by top chef Angelo Elia offers the finest selection of authentic Italian small plate goodies, pizza, gelato. It's a great place to share a lot of small dishes if you are two or more. Whether you enjoy Roman delicacies like stuffed Zucchini flowers or just fresh roasted peppers, salads, salumi, prosciutto, clams and mussels, lobster bisque, special pastas and entrees of the day or just want to have a traditional Italian pizza with fresh toppings, you won't be disappointed. The sophisticated European palate will appreciate the quality and authenticity of the ingredients, but the average person will also appreciate the good selection of food. Wine lovers will like the opportunity to order dozens of wines (mostly Italian) by the glass or quartino, and many more by the bottle. This is our favorite restaurant when we want something less formal than the parent restaurant, Casa D'Angelo, which is the best Italian restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale.
