This ocean front restaurant we have been visiting now off and on for the last 20 years. We did not understand why it went through a substantial renovation and redecoration...it just has lost its old charm. Unfortunately the menu went through the same changes, however, they have been flexible with our requests. The quality of food and service has not suffered and we can highly recommend having dinner here at any time. Wednesday's special is half price for ALL wines!!
Mary has been serving us for many years now and we always ask for her.

Went out on Black Friday early dinner (5-6p.m)on November 29th.

Place was crowded as can be expected even at 5;30 p.m.

Good Choices on the set menu selections.Soup or Salad, Entree and Dessert (Key LIme Pie) all for $21.00 each (drinks, tax.and tip Xtra)
.
Wait staff were professional and pleasant even though you can see they were rushed.

I ordered Prime Rib au jus with sweet potatoe, on the set menu.

It arrived cold and I had to send it back...5 minutes later, again it arrived cold. I asked the waitress if she could kindly 'microwave' it a bit more.

She said they do not have 'microwaves 'and they just redipped the beef in the 'Au Jus' (Gravy)which I guess was cold also.
.
Anyway they waved the cost of the 1 item, rest of the meal was O.K..standard salad , NE Clam Chowder and KeyLime Pie.

Outside of that episode, the restaurant ambience was excellent, and there were very few unsatisfied people.

We would go back again,if in the area, because they know how to treat their customers right!!

Not only to you get the best seat in town, the food is consistently good. Our service people have always been courteous, and while it is not an "uptown" dressy restaurant it's not just a flip-flop bar on the beach. Casual-elegant - love it! Be prepared for a wait on the weekends during season - but I would say it is worth the time it takes rather than shop around.

Beautiful location, great service, but the $40+ Thanksgiving dinner was a real rip.

First, the turkey breast. It wasn't moist, it was wet. And every bite of every slice was very salty. I'm not an expert on cooking turkeys but my guess is the turkey breasts they were using had been injected or infused with saline solution.

The mashed potatoes came out of a box. Very dry, no flavor. The green beans were good, the small portion of sweet potato casserole was very good.

But the gravy and the dressing were tasteless.

The couple we were with had been there before and had a steak and the lobster instead of the Thanksgiving dinner. Their meals didn't cost much more and they were much happier.
