First off I notice this place is listed twice on Tripadvisor, once as Truluck's and once as Truluck's Restaurant....I believe them to be the same place. Walked in with no reservation and was seated right away (things are quiet in South Fla in july). Everything was very good, with the only real complaint about the food, was that the stone crab's were horribly cracked ahead of time, with bits of shell so small it was hard to removed, maybe I'm spoiled after having been to Joe's Stone Crab a few times. Oysters were amazing, Beautiful ceasar salad, mains were filet mignon, and scallops, all were done extremely well, of note was the side of Asian style green beans. What prevented me from giving this place a higher rating....we had not finished our starters (appetizers) when the mains arrived, we had possibly been in the place for 20 minutes total. Waitress who was very nice (Tracey) explained that a large group had just arrived, and they didn't want us waiting too long because they were about to start making food for the group! She saw the look on our faces, and said she could bring them back in a few minutes, whereupon my wife asked if there were going to be sitting under heating lamps...the response was yes, so we decided we did not want to have steak and scallops sitting under a heat lamp, and that we would take them now......very disappointing for a place we dropped over 200 bucks for 2 adults and a 10 year old kid. I'm not sure what happened, but I do not think this is the norm for this upscale place. I would possibly consider giving them another chance one day, because the food and service was very good.
