KiKi's is a lovely restaurant with a nice menu selection. Fernando is a superb host! He went above and beyond to make our dining experience...wonderful!

This is a new hotel. Close to airport and cruise port. No charge to be picked up at airport, but to go to cruise port is $5 per person. We did not have to wait long for either of the trips.
Hotel is very clean with a modern edge. This is different from the decor of all the other Crowne Plazas in which we have stayed. However, the decor of the room reflected the vibe of the FLL/MIA area. For me and my husband the beds were pretty hard which is really not characteristic of Crowne Plaza beds. Also being a Priority Club member I did not see the little added touches that are usually in the rooms (sleeping mask, lavender, etc). Please note, we were in an executive king room (included a table) and the room didn't have a bath tub.
The restaurant in the hotel was OK. There were a few other restaurants around, but since we were there for only a night it was fine to use the hotel restaurants.
We did take a taxi for a bout a 12 minute drive to Target. It cost us $20. Taxi's in FLL are more expensive than NYC! The taxi charges are ridiculous!
Now for the customer service. Maria and Abner are simply amazing. They were helpful, courteous and considering they were some times when they were trying to help some customers who were less than courteous. During the entire time Maria and Abner kept their cools.
I would definitely come back for a pre-cruise location as this is an excellent hotel for a night. However, if I were going to stay post cruise for a few days to see the sights of Fort Lauderdale, I would probably go to a hotel closer to Las Olas just to be in the thick of Fort Lauderdale.

Currently staying at hotel. Arrived and took a taxi to hotel based on previous reviews. Today witnesses angry guests saying they were waiting for transfer from airport last night for an hour and a half. Constantly being told "10 minutes". Hotel itself is nice, great linens on beds, cozy restaurant (although bacon at breakfast was cooked days ago) Staff nice. Pool area nice but small on fifth floor. Overall a decent place to stay pre-cruise but they need to get their act together for transfers. I also waited to go to the airport today past the time they promised. Have stayed in other hotels near Ft Lauderdale airport, this is the only one with this problem.

Our cruise left October 30th, right in the midst of the famous Fort Lauderdale Yacht Show, so hotel rooms were at a premium or sold out. We found this on an unfamiliar booking site about four weeks before the cruise and snagged a great rate. Worried about whether our paid reservation was real, I called the hotel directly about a week later and spoke with the Manager Thomas (toe-mas). He was more than helpful and so warm and welcoming on the phone, confirming our reservation and answering questions. We found out this hotel is five months new. We arrived in the evening, and went into the minimalist, Asian inspired, modern lobby. Thomas was there to greet us with one of his staff. Their staff from bellmen to check-in to the manager is so consumer oriented and eager to help. We checked in, had help with our bags and I shared some home-made chocolate chip cookies I made for our drive, with Thomas and his staff.
The room was huge- it was on the corner by the elevator. Very high-style, minimalist decor that reminded us of upscale hotels in Miami. Lovely shades of ice blue and palest aqua, white and black. Large room with a round chair for two with divan, desk area, black dresser with large flat screen TV. Large closet, ironing board and iron. Small fridge and coffee center in private entry. The bath was new with granite counters a vessel sink with designer faucet, and a large shower. The only planning issue was that the door of the bath opened in and made the bath cramped- just an odd planning detail. Room was perfectly clean with higher quality linens and towels marked Egyptian cotton. It was spotless and refreshing. The pool area is on the second floor. A large wall provides privacy as it faces a busy street, but is new, clean, lots of nice loungers + plants. Each floor has an entry table with a distinctive orchid arrangement. It is a short drive to Los Olas boulevard, where the action is., But with the crowds and traffic, we decided after a visit to Total Wine for supplies (three blocks away), to try the restaurant at the Crowne Plaza. We had very nice service, margaritas and the fajitas, It was reasonably affordable and worked for us for a late small dinner. Checkout took seconds, and we were on our way to the cruise port- which was just a few blocks away. IF you must be on a beach do not choose this, but for business travelers or pre-cruise- this is a great place to stay: new, crisp, clean and great staff..

I have to say overall, this was a hotel that I was pretty happy with and will be staying there the next time I visit Florida again. I was very happy to learn that when I arrived, I was upgraded to an executive suite, plus two complimentary Starbuck coffees in the morning. What a nice surprise!

The renovation they did recently was a bonus! The room's contemporary decor reminded me of Pan Pacific Hotels. The lobby is beautiful. The colours of ocean blue, against the white orchid display were very nice.

The room is quiet and provides a peaceful sleep! Nice balcony and view. During windy nights, the intercoastal waterway is much calmer than staying right near the beach, where the sound of waves is distracting. The price of the room is modest and reasonable.

Good workout and fitness gym (open 24/7), unlike other hotels that close at 10 or 11pm.

I stayed at this hotel for one night for business. It is a new property, so all the furnishings are nice and new. The staff seemed friendly and helpful, and I had a nice, quiet night's sleep. The room had a nice, comfy bed, great big TV, free Internet with a nice big desk, and a great shower. The price was also very good. The only downsides, they charge extra for parking ($10 a day), and the hotel is in a somewhat isolated,. transitional location and you can't really walk to anything except the cruise ships. If you want to be close to the cruise ships or airport, this could be a good option for you, particularly if you just need a nice decent place to stay for one night. But for longer stays or vacation stays you might want to consider something that's in a better location.

My fiance and I stayed here back in August 2010 for five nights. Upon entering the lobby I was flourished by the friendly staff (Marva) and the bellman they both made us felt like it was home by their warm welcome. Marva (front desk agent) greeted both my fiance and I with a smile and informing us as to all the amenities the hotel offers as well as the directions to where a few amenities where located like the pool and the business center. The cruise port was right across the street and was like 3-5 mins away from both the Hollywood Executive Airport and the shipping companies like Mailboat (Bahamas). The rooms where way beyond my expectations. I could not find anything in the rooms nor around the hotel to complain about except the alarm/clock was not working since previous visitors ended up pulling the cord, but that did not interrupted my stay here. I do plan to stay here again sometime in December 2010, just to meet Marva. I must say I love the hotel.
