Owner description: A "Must" in Fort Lauderdale for years! Experience a little southern hospitality on this "All You Wish to Eat" BBQ Ribs, Chicken and Shrimp Dinner Cruise served family style with all the trimmings. Enjoy a pleasant and humorous commentary by the Captain about the many interesting sights and beautiful homes you'll see as we cruise up the New River, past Millionaire's Row, en route to our tropical isle to enjoy dinner and a hilarious Variety Show. The show is followed by a moonlit ride back to the dock. More than 18 million guests over the years have enjoyed the fun-filled, relaxing evening aboard. A unique evening you'll talk about, laugh about and always remember. There is nothing else like it. Jungle Queen also offers fully narrated daily Sightseeing Cruises up the historic New River past plush waterfront homes, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and a stop-off at our tropical isle to see rare birds, monkeys and an alligator exhibition. The only true way to see Fort Lauderdale.

“Nice time overall”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

This tour has been around a long time. A nice ride on the river and intracoastal. Nice homes to see and get a close up view of some very nice boats of all sizes. The stop at "Jungle Island" I could do with out. Ok, it's nice to get a chance to streach your legs and see a few birds and some wild life but not much else. Some cheap items for sale but thats about it. The boat ride back is kind of slow because you back the same way, But overall it's a nice time. Can be very hot on this boat. Out doors no a/c. Think ahead on that part for sure.

“Captain was rude”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The captain was rude and obnoxious to other boaters. I would not recommend this cruise. There are plenty of others out there that are much better and nicer boats.

“A Fun Florida Day”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The Jungle Queen is an absolute must for tourists. It is reasonably priced and gives a good look at what Florida homes look like (For the rich and famous) and also our waterways. If you take the Evening cruise you get off on an Island and have an all you can eat bar-b-cue dinner and a little show. Very entertaining Evening. The best of Florida at a great price. We take all our first time Florida visitors on it. We never tire of it.

“Nice boat, but...”
Reviewed November 24, 2013

The boat was old and bit tidy (restrooms in bad condition, dirty, smell, etc., floor & chairs also dirty), but the sailing was nice. Route was very interesting and there was lot to see.
In the "jungle island" animals seems to be too in too small cages without enough activities for the animals. Especially alligators were in a tiny cage. Also the service at the "zoo" wasn't friendly and the food was average.
Crew at the boat instead was awesome.

Boat needs facelift (and maybe also cafe onboard)and more space and natural activities for animals.

“DON'T BOOK THIS CRUISE IN ADVANCE AS THEY CANCEL”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

My wife and two friends booked the evening dinner cruise on the 19th November 2013 at a cost of $43 each. One of our party was celebrating her birthday and had particularly asked to go on this cruise as it was the last night of our stay before flying home.
We boarded at 17.30 for the 18.00 sailing. Our first impressions were that the boat was very basic with garden furniture seating welded together.
At 18.10 the Captain came on the microphone to say that 'THE OWNER' had decided that because there were only 35 passengers they would not do the cruise. It had been raining and he said that as a result they had a lot of cancellations. They made no attempt to tell us that there could be a problem so we sat on the boat for 40 minutes before being told they would cancel. Everyone on board were fuming but they Captain said 'don't blame me its not my decision' ( I suspect he was the owner).
Some of the passengers had travelled over 4 hours to do the cruise.
My friends who run a tour boat themselves in Wales told the captain that they had carried on with their own cruises with only 4 or 5 passengers on board at times as the good days make up for the odd bad days. My advise if you wish to book this boat is don't, just arrive before sailing as it hold 550 passengers. They offered a free day cruise, not the evening cruise, but that was no use to anyone on their last day or anyone who have travelled a long way. I can't say if its worth the visit as we didn't get to try it. Very disappointing.
