Owner description: A "Must" in Fort Lauderdale for years! Experience a little southern hospitality on this "All You Wish to Eat" BBQ Ribs, Chicken and Shrimp Dinner Cruise served family style with all the trimmings. Enjoy a pleasant and humorous commentary by the Captain about the many interesting sights and beautiful homes you'll see as we cruise up the New River, past Millionaire's Row, en route to our tropical isle to enjoy dinner and a hilarious Variety Show. The show is followed by a moonlit ride back to the dock. More than 18 million guests over the years have enjoyed the fun-filled, relaxing evening aboard. A unique evening you'll talk about, laugh about and always remember. There is nothing else like it. Jungle Queen also offers fully narrated daily Sightseeing Cruises up the historic New River past plush waterfront homes, downtown Fort Lauderdale, and a stop-off at our tropical isle to see rare birds, monkeys and an alligator exhibition. The only true way to see Fort Lauderdale.

I've gone on this cruise several times. It's really nice and relaxing and well worth the money. It's a great family thing to do, especially docking on a little island to see the gator show and get food and refreshments. Seein where and how the rich and famous lives is quite an experience. Some of the mansions are spectacular! I would definitely recommend this cruise for anyone visiting the Ft. Lauderdale area.

I took the Jungle Queen cruise 15 years ago and have fond memories of it. I decided to take the family back on the cruise. I found that the whole experience is very past its prime. The boat is a mess with cobb webs and spiders handing from all the lights and chairs with missing straps.
The announcers voice was hard to hear and he spoke so fast that even me a native New Yorker could not understand what he was saying.
The cruise is fun and the beautiful mansions and yachts are a site for sore eyes.
We got to the "island" restaurant and again evidence of an experience needing revamping. The food was acceptable and plentiful but the service was bad from our waitress. The island was like an old park worn down with no updates. The outdoor theatre had wet seats from an afternoon rain and with no fans it was hardly bearable to stand the August heat.

We had a $2 off coupon from a local yellow cab book that was in our hotel. There is vending machines at the ticket booth for pop. The cruise to the island is nice all the rich homes and yachts. The man trys to be funny when he tells u about them. The island they stop at is not much. Some birds, all the same 2 kinds in different cages. And the alligators. When we were there they had cages closed with tarps, they said they had to wait for there permit. I think there were monkeys and racoons, not sure. They have a snack stand that was reasonable. You are there for about 45 minutes. They call a indian village one guy selling homemade jewelry. The alligator show was great! We had front and center viewing. We had never seen an alligator show before, so maybe we were easily impressed. The man doing it had a huge scar from a previous alligator bite. Very informative. The picture they take of u boarding the boat is annoying. We said no and he said he has to or get in trouble. Pics will be added.

We took a ride on the Jungle Queen and saw how the rich and famous live. It was interesting. We stopped and saw two alligators and birds on a small island in the river. It was worth the price that we paid. If you look on the internet, look for 2 for 1 Fort Lauderdale. We only had to pay for one person.

Nice and relaxing little boat ride through the canals. Scenery is nice and seeing the beautiful homes of the "rich and famous" can make one dream for a few hours.
Price is within normal range being it is a 3 hours ride. Our stop on the island was short, but it was quiet interesting to see tropical birds and the alligators.
Good experience and friendly guide
