I enjoyed the tour. I didn't think it was too long. The home is unique and the history is great. Gives you a feeling of old florida and a new way to appreciate South Florida.

The Bonnet House is incredibly weird, quirky and unique. It's great, but the tour lasts almost 3 hours which is just too long for a visitor to leave the beach. Plus, you are walking outside a lot, making it not even an ideal destination for a rainy day. I think this place would be great if they minimize the tour to half an hour.

This place was a little gem...a piece of (wealthy) old Florida still exactly as it was (in the '20s? Can't exactly remember the era). The home was owned by artists and there is lovely artwork (theirs) throughout. They were also great collectors of interesting pieces from around the world. Our guide was very proficient in telling the history of the buildings and family...making it quite interesting. The grounds were lovely as well...it is worth your while to spend the extra dollar or two for a tour aboard a little golf cart. Our driver was charming and knowledgeable. Very impressive since I'm guessing this place is operated by volunteers interested in preserving the history. I'm not a history buff (but I am an art and garden buff), and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
