During our visit, we saw the shark exhibit. I decided not to pay extra for the audio portion of the shark walk through and didn't feel like I was missing out. They had a great moving about the great while shark that was great to see. Being from an area where we have lots of museums, I would say this is a great place to visit if you can. The art was diverse in culture and made our visit well worth the time spen with good quality art to view.

The Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale is really very good, but if it was bigger it would be even better. With a great permanent collection, and outstanding visiting collections, it is an asset to the South Florida community. If only it were bigger...it could have even more wonderful art to see!

My husband and I enjoyed being there, with a small cafe for light snacks and beverages in the gift shop amid a good selection of interesting books and chatchkas. I purchased a gorgeous multi-colored glass candle-holder along with a book. The person at the counter was kind to offer to keep the rest of my beverage refrigerated until I was ready to leave the museum. The theme of the exhibit on the ground floor was "Rites of Passage and Relationships". It involved very insightful photographicg limpses into real expressions of family, friendships and love. Upstairs were contemporary 2-D paintings, sculptures, dioramas and short films plus an assortment of mobiles , I look forward to returning very soon!

My wife and I recently became benefactors of the museum, because we were so impressed with both the staff and the collections of the museum. The latest exhibit, "Sharks" is absolutely fascinating to any age and well worth the visit.
