We had been to da Campo before, but this time we decided to try the "Chef's Table." At the Chef's Table you are seated at a bar-height counter right in front of the grills. The chefs prepare individual portions of any number of dishes, and the food just keeps coming until you cry "uncle". With each dish the chef first explains what it is and how it is prepared. If you'd like anything altered the chefs are happy to comply. We were served by a wonderful team: Chef Ray was the boss, assisted by Chefs Mark and Lucky. To assist them we had Sergio as our waiter as well. They made us feel like were the only people in the restaurant who mattered! A sampling of our meal: seafood ceviche, shrimp cocktail (with a delicious passion fruit cocktail sauce), meatball on pasta, scallop on risotto, veal with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella (made fresh in front of us) with roasted garlic, figs, prosciutto, pesto, balsamic and oil... and a few more. Even after we cried "uncle" we had some rum raisin gelato and an incredible chocolate chip souffle with coffee gelato and marscapone. These descriptions do not do justice to the dishes: you'd have to taste them all to appreciate them. If you want a truly special meal in Fort Lauderdale, try the Chef's Table at da Campo.

Had dinner with my husband during a mini florida vacation. Had wanted to try this restaurant earlier in the year but cancelled the reservation think it was too fancy for my family of 6 in town for spring break. Boy was I wrong! We had a great dinner that was not only well priced but one of the best I have had in Fort Lauderdale. We have never had fresh mozzarella. It was served for us at the table. Our meal was delicious and we will be back!

Although we live in Fort Lauderdale, we had not been to Da Campo Osteria before. We decided to try it for the first time during their happy hour. The happy hour menu consisted of several "small plates" for $6 each. We ordered the crispy eggplant and a pizzetta. After the description of the table side pulled mozzarella from our bartender, Jen, we decided that we had to try it. When our order arrived we were pleasantly surprised at how large each item was and we could have probably shared just one. Then came the mozzarella! Since it was a table side presentation we got to learn a bit while waiting for the final plate. It was so simple but so good! Great recommendation and great service the entire time from the bartender Jen! We will most definitely be going back.

A friend local to the area recommended DaCampo for a group, all from out of town. Lionel, the manager could not have been more helpful. He suggested a limited menu that had enough variety for all tastes. The setting, service and hospitality was just perfect. Recommendations for sharing appetizers was just right, SUPER MOZZARELLA! Everyone found the choices on the menu to thier liking and accommodations were graciously made for vegetarian and gluten-free diners. We enjoyed the evening immensely.
