“Fish was excellent”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I am picky foodie but the service and fish was excellent. The decor is old and it felt a little dirty but it may have been the colors.
Wine selection is average but adequate. Any place at this price point should be able to make a good latte, I had to tell them how to make it and it was wonderful but should I have had to tell them? Who knows, the result was good and they were very positive. Overall, I didn't expect it to be great and I was surprised.

“Wonderful Dining Experience”
Reviewed February 8, 2013

During our week in the area, this place was one of our nicest dining experiences. My wife and I both had the chicken entrée, which was fabulous. The breads were outstanding and the service excellent. Beautiful view and complimentary valet parking. Their specialty Mozzarella looked great but we would not have been able to eat our dinners after that, so we skipped the Mozzarella. We found this place using OpenTable.com and it was a 1,000 point timeframe. Wonderful Dining Experience.

“Wow what Food”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

I had the pleasure of being served lunch everyday by a phenomenal waitress (Alexis). The food was the best food I had the pleasure of eating while staying in the area. The Mozzarella was the best I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection The filet was mouth watering the chicken juicy the sides and the salads were great. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you are not staying at the hotel

“Nominee for Best Mozzarella in the U.S.”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

The da Campo Osteria is located in the il Lugano Hotel. There are two things to order: the Mozzarella Sampler ($28), which you can share with 2-3 good friends (otherwise keep it all to yourself). They prepare the mozzarella table-side, which is great to watch, but it's the taste that is worth the trip. Usually, the American version of this cheese is a pale and boring shadow of its Italian cousin. This is the first time that it was this enjoyable stateside. If you can't handle a whole sampler, then order the mozzarella with figs. The other stand-out at this restaurant was the tiramisu. If you have to have something between that appetizer and dessert, try the lobster tagliatelle, but the next time, I'm sticking with the mozzarella and the tiramasu!
