We stayed at the Hyatt for vacation in late September 2011. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful and the pool is beautiful. The bar in the lobby is pricey, but not unexpected due to the hotel's location. It's a fun place to be in the evenings as well. The pool bar/staff/food were all excellent and I have no complaints. Our room was clean and spacious with a decent-sized patio. I would stay here again.

The Hyatt Pier 66 is a nice resort type hotel. The property is not on the beach but it is close by. Pool and common grounds are kept very nicely. Staff is friendly even when hotel is extremely busy. Rooms a clean and large. I stayed in a tower room with a great view of the inter coastal water way and ocean.

The only problem I encountered was trying to get a seat at dinner and breakfast. When the hotel is busy as it was during my stay there does not seem to be enough tables and seating for breakfast and dinner at the main restaurants. Both times I had to wait about 20min to get a seat.
I guess it is a good problem for the hotel...bad for guests.

Overall I would recommend this property when visiting Fort Lauderdale.

Room Tip: Ask for a tower room

This place is crumbling and worn around the edges. Furniture is cracking or dirty, and I think we saw bedbugs (or some kind of fast-crawling, tiny bug) in the bedroom. Also, we had a terrible experience with the beach shuttle. The driver said he would pick us up at 15 past the hour. We showed up at 13 past the hour, and he was already gone. We had to call 3 more times and wait 35 more minutes for him to finally show up. Totally unprofessional! We will not stay here again.

Upon arrival in our rental car - we were greeted and valet parked. Check-in was quick and pleasant.

Room overlooked Ft. Lauderdale the pool and Pier 66. Rooms were very clean and quite large.

Conceriege was helpful in helping us find something to eat. We at at Pelican Landing - food was amazing......we sat outside weather was great....the waiters adjusted the umbrellas as needed. The view was breathtaking.

The hotel was close to the mall, beach and our customers we were visiting.

Price was average...

When my wife and I arrived at this hotel following an 11 hour flight and an extra hour at passport control we were met by an inexperienced member of staff on reception who eventually directed us to our pre-booked room.
The room was situated by the pool area. It was very tired and needed a complete update. The wooden blinds were damaged and could not be closed. The furniture was old.
The Hotel is near the Cruise terminal but a few miles from the centre of Fort Lauderdale where the shopping and beach area is situated.
On our next cruise from Miami we will stay at South Beach!
When we looked at our credit card charges, a month after returning to UK, we noticed that the hotel had charged us again for our stay. We had already paid our cruise company in advance!
We were particularly annoyed that all bills shown to us by reception staff were for meals and drinks only. The accommodation charge was added later and this was not on the last bill given to us before departure.
Two months after returning home we have eventually been refunded and they have admitted their mistake but we will not be staying there again

Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six.

two friends meeting up at the hotel, one from Canada and the other from Australia. This was out meeting place after 14 months of planning for a vacation together. We stayed two nights
villa type room 2 double beds, very clean room, a little dated but location was great,

Paid 75 a night on name your price on price line would stay there at a drop of a dime...loved this location. Our room was in the villas not the tower and I was really happy with that, opened our curtains and we were waterfront.

Room was clean, staff friendly and helpful. There is a shuttle to take you to the beach. This is a 21 acre resort, with boat/ Yacht mooring there, Take a walk around some of these vessels... Wish I was told about the happy hour at pelican restaurant when we were ordering...
We would of order more and stayed longer, great location on water front.
You can get water taxi there

within 5 minutes to beach and stores, very close to cruise port. walk over bridge and you start shopping district. If you are going to rent a car Avis is on location, wish I had know beforehand I rented from airport.. Parking is 21 bucks a night. You can get a shuttle to cruise port outside of the avis office. Liquor store near by and plenty of restaurants

rent your car from avis on site and you can park in their lot I think for free instead of paying for parking, Valet parking a waste of money 25 a night, it is steps away from self parking. there are 3 pools all different temperatures, hot tub is hot ;-). it is a very pretty location. You can get a breakfast sandwich by pool for 4 bucks, cabanas are rentals... lots of lounges walk around where the ships and boats are moored for some entertainment of names of the vessels and the size of them,,, The main lobby restaurants was pricey for breakfast, Lobby bar for a beer 6 bucks ... Room has frig. The spa was closed for renovations

We had no complaints and for the price we paid we stole it...

In January my family took a cruise which began and ended in Fort Lauderdale, at The Hyatt Regency Pier Sixty-Six.

My family is now home, safe and sound, they had a wonderful time and a great cruise. Fortunately they chose the Caribbean and not Italy.

Never the less, I wanted to thank Marie and all her co-workers for taking such good care of my girls during their stay.
They traveled to Panama and back and one of the hi-light of their vacation was their stay at the Hyatt.

The staff was friendly professional caring and extremely accommodating.

The girls all said they were treated like royalty, everything was just perfect.

Thank you so very much for all you did in making the vacation memorable.

Tom
