I am still staying at the hotel, but i dealt with the concierge this morning, Wendy, dealt with George this aftrnoon, and Otto tonight. I have been here for a week and I am so impressed with their service. I have a noisy family. I know I do. Still these guys treated us like five star guest, especially Otto, he came down to our "level" and put things in layman's terms so we could understand. He did this without us even feeling like we were not his equal. We never flit like we did not belong. We work for our money just like everyone else and he made it so. What a good man.
Funny enough, we only came here because we read bout him in the other reviews, and to meet him, was a gift. he is everything that they say. We feel like best friends.
He is only the beginning, from the doorman, to front desk, to room service, everyone was awesome, house keeping needs to get it together and have our room cleaned on time, but at least they are so sweet about it and there is a bar by the pool we don't care. All in al, we love this hotel and we will be here next year for sure!!!! Otto, Wendy, Jorge, we love you guys!!!!

My friends and I are between the ages of 23-29 and went on a 7 day trip, which ended up raining everyday! Although it rained everyday we were still able to have such an amazing time. The hotel staff make all of the hotel customers feel comfortable and really go above and beyond to do this!

Upon arrival into our room, we noticed that our safe did not work, and we were immediately upgraded to an ocean view room without even asking! Our ocean view room was beautiful, and we were a 5 minute walk away from all of the shops and restaurants that line the beach strip. The rooms were very new, and clean, and the hotel staff ensured that we were safe and comfortable at all times. The hotel offers beautiful views, clean and gorgeous rooms, an amazing restaurant named Shula's that some argue is one of the best in Fort Lauderdale (our friends ate dinner here on Saturday night and said the salmon and scallops were the best they had ever had), and amazing staff!

Our most memorable friends from the hotel were the concierge service team, and more-the team is fantastic and ensured that we went to all of the top tourist and local attractions, and even set up rides for us and gave us free vouchers for drinks and discounts! We felt safe and taken care of at all times, and really appreciated the comfort of these services, especially because we were from out of town and not familiar with the city at all.

My only complaints with this trip include the weather, so when I do go back it will not be during rainy season. As for hotel complaints, we did have a bad experience at Shula's for breakfast-we were rushed, the food was not the quality we expected, and the portions were served small and sloppy. Everything else was wonderful, and again it really is the views, the pool on the 3rd floor overlooking the ocean, the tunnel walkway to the beach and of course the amazing staff including the concierge service team, and that made this trip fantastic!! If you are looking to be close to the nightlife, and on the beautiful beach, this hotel is for you!

If you want to have an amazing time, make friends with the concierge team, they really made a huge difference in our stay!

Stayed at the hotel on the week of June 10-14, 2009. Hotel is having major construction problem that was not disclosed by Expedia at the time of reservation. In addition, there was a broken sewer line problem that smelled so bad on the lobby, bridge, pool and elevator area. The restaurants are extremely expensive. Parking is $25 per day. I will never stay at this hotel again.

We checked in to the Westin at about 4 in the afternoon. Our room was not ready yet and this could have been upsetting had the staff not been so accommodating. They took our bags and sent us to the Waves bar on the pool deck where we enjoyed some cocktails until our room was ready, They called us on our cell phone and we just went downstairs and picked up our keys.
The hotel is beautiful, the fragrance that they use in the lobby is so nice and calming, as is the decor. The staff is exceptionally friendly and I did notice that it was consistent. They were like this with everyone. Having gotten, a great deal on Hotwire, we really were not expecting this kind of service. From front desk to the restaurant. Everyone was great. By the way, the restaurant is fantastic. The food was sublime.
The concierge staff, Otto Rizvani, Wendy, and Miguel Pena were AWSOME! They must communicate very well because questions we gave one the night before were answered by the other person the next day. It's like they were one person, ha ha. We had dinner reservations at Charlie's Crab shack and Otto even sent us desert there on the house! What service! As we returned he asked us how dinner was by name! Miguel answered all of our questions with a smile no matter how absurd they may have been. My entire group agreed on this.
Room service and Shulla's staff were equally as nice. Andreas is a gem. He was so kind to us and we felt at like he took a personal approach in assisting us.
The rooms are to die for. Clean, very new, and calming. We got an Ocean front double for a little more cost but it was well worth it as the views are wonderful. They are also pet friendly and will provide a dog bed for you. I have never seen this at another hotel.
What a great time we had. We highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a really relaxing trip. The beach chairs are complimentary and very nice. 5 star service. There is a Valet charge which we were told about but did not know that it was valet only. That was the only thing we had some issue with. However in the end it was the best option as we noticed the public lots were no less expensive.

We stayed here with our 6 month old baby and found it to be a lovely hotel. We definitely were not disappointed. The rooms and whole building are clean, modern and luxurious. The beach is beautiful. They wanted to charge $40 per day for loungers and an umbrella on the beach (NOT Westin employees) but we went to CVS down the street and bought some beach chairs and umbrella of our own....much better value.
The location is great if you like to go for a walk along the beachfront with a great selection of restaurants, bars and stores.
Just one thing, know that the only choice for parking is valet at $25 per day!
Also, not a big deal but after we paid for internet access one day their web site denied us access a few hours later and asked us to pay again. We got it straightened out though.
