Parking can sometimes be challenging and restaurants get packed especially on w/e's, but worth checking out for either the restaurants, the art galleries or people or automobile watching.

Yes, it's quaint, has restaurants, cute bistros, and tony places to buy clothing and such. It's also a good place to park your Bentley or Mercedes, walk amongst those who breathe rarefied air, and to see what it might look like to live the better life. If you're one of those, you're home. If you're not one of those and want to do more than just walk around, bring money as it will cost you to be there and enjoy.

Las Olas Boulevard is the place to find the unique combination of sense of style and fun that make
Fort Lauderdale so appealing. Shops, restaurants and specialty stores provide entertainment for everyone in the family and Las Olas also offers many specialty arts crafts shows during the season.
For a rare treat stop into the Gran Fornio Bakery for their fresh, baked-on-the-premises Italian breads and other unique treats like house made focaccia

For many years, chains were not allowed on this street which is the "Rodeo Drive" of Fort Lauderdale. Then Sunglass Hut snuck in... and now we have a few. It still manages to maintain its exclusive feel, though. Antique shops, upscale clothing, restaurants and nightlife are the draw during both week and particulary crowded weekends.

If you don't like crowds or shopping, but want to try some restaurants, go during a week night and you'll fare better with the more popular places.

Las Olas Boulevard is one of the main attractions Fort Lauderdale has to offer with its fine shops, art galleries and excellent restaurants. The best Italian food at reasonable prices is offered at Caffe Europa, 910 E. Las Olas Blvd. Walk up two doors and you can ususally hear live music at Mangos. Moda Mario and Bennett Uomo have the best Italian clothes in the world. The Lobster Bar is further west presenting excellent seafood and atmosphere. Although somewhat pricey, it is thoroughly enjoyable. Have a few coctails at the Royal Pig, Timpano's, Yolo's, 401 and you will see the young and hip crowd as well as many locals.
A night you'll never forget.
