“AIRBOAT RIDES AND MORE”

Nice little park run extremely well. The boats are huge and covered. The park is overrun with gorgeous peacocks that seem friendly and will beg for your pretzel. Nice gator wrestling/exhibition ( but a very steep walk down to the area) with a handsome gator dude that does his stuff. You can also hold a 3-4 foot gator for $5.00 ( photo op time). There is a nice gift and variety store there with lots to buy and a small kitchen that has a limited take out menu. The gator-bites are to DIE FOR. The airboat ride is about an hour and is fun and exciting.

“Please keep your hands inside the vehicle.”

We were pleased to find an Everglades airboat experience within an hour drive of my sister’s house. The airboat tour spends nearly an hour jetting around a small section of the Everglades viewing lots of flora and fauna. Your ticket includes access to the Alligator Rescue demonstration on the premises.

My sister joined my mom, two aunts and me for this excursion. Although the senior discount is less than the online coupon of $3 off each, the military discount my aunt received was half off for our entire party. With that bargain, I found it easy to generously tip our tour guide/boat pilot and even spring for the cheesy souvenir photo.

Bring a windbreaker just in case, but I didn’t need it. We’re in Florida after all.

“Pleased again”

This was our second trip to this park. Although the weather was cloudy and windy we still had a great tour. We saw gators (not as many as last time due to weather conditions) different types of birds, and learned alot about the plants and trees in the Everglades. Overall it was a very good tour that was definitely informative. I will say this, the staff in the office are not the friendliest, but don't let that change your mind about visiting this park!

“Enjoyable Experience”
Reviewed March 5, 2012

My husband and I visited Everglades Holiday Park and enjoyed the experience. We spent $20 each as we had 2 $10 coupons that we got from our hotel. We had a very nice captain on our airboat who was informative and entertaining. It was very cool to spend some time on the river to see the wildlife and vegetation. The overall trip was an hour long. We ended up seeing 3 alligators, one of which was a female guarding her nest. We also spotted some vultures and other birds.

The alligator show after the boat trip was a bit lame. I was expecting more from the famous "Gator Boys" of Animal Planet fame. The gators were lethargic and the "tricks" were not that impressive. A pregnant woman came out afterwards with a baby gator that you could take a photo with for $3. No one seemed interested. One guy took a photo with an adult gator whose snout was taped up for $10. To each his own, but it was typical tourist stuff.

Overall it was a nice, inexpensive way to spend a couple of hours and I would recommend the experience.
