We like to visit the museum on every trip to Florida, and this year we were not disappointed. This is such a well kept museum, and the new exhibits are really superb. The addition is complete and exploring the "Everglades" was never this much fun. There is even an "Airboat Adventure" (albeit virtual) included in your admission. Give yourself about 3 hours for this gem of a museum, and make sure you dont miss any areas. My daughter particularly liked broadcasting herself on the news while "Covering a hurricane." I am not going to lie, I did it as well. It was really fun. Give yourself some time to just watch the Otters swim, they were very entertaining. Dont forget there are numerous IMAX movies throughout the day, and the combo ticket will save you money.

I have made several trips here with my children, and as part of their school field trips. Most recently, we had a special overnight trip for the school and had the privilege of "camping out" in the facility. The staff was phenomenal and kept the kids engaged throughout the trip. The majority of exhibits feature a hands-on experience. The 3-D IMAX shows have all been amazing. The otter show was a big hit. The kids loved the Hurricane center where they could experience winds up to about 74 mph and put on a news cast using a green screen background. The Mars Rover ride could use an update, but the Everglades simulated airboat ride made up for it.

A rainy day...family in town...went to Museum for the first time. 3 hrs later had trouble leaving. This place is interactive, educational and fun for "adults" & children. We had a wonderful time.

Thoroughly enjoyed the Gecko exhibit - very creative in displays and the day we were there, they had a hands on exhibit of native Floridian creatures to hold - snakes, reptiles, etc. with an expert handler / wildlife specialist. Body exhibit was also fascinating with specials on the heart including video presentations by local heart surgeons explaining the rhythms and sounds of the heart. I was captured as was my 11 year old!!!

My family has been visiting this museum for years. My now grown children and I still enjoy the many hands-on activities, the fascinating displays and have also visited the IMAX theater on the premises many many times. This museum is a f\Ft. Lauderdale staple that is not to be missed! PS...Don't miss the Otters!!
