“Good home cooking at the Farmers' Market”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2014

Located inside the farmers' market and open from 5:30 am to 9:00 pm, this restaurant offers a varied menu, from fresh seafood to chicken & dumplings. The food is tasty, the service is good and the price is very reasonable. This is a great alternative one block west from the many fast food and chain restaurants on the highway in Florida City.

“Give it a miss.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2014

We were looking for early dinner and thought we might find good, home cooking.Sadly not. Although the service was really warm and friendly the food was really dreadful, we pushed it around the plate, said we were not very hungry and left. On the good side it was not very expensive and the place was interesting and clean.

“friendly local casual”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

This is a good stop at the end of the florida expressway. Fresh fish, homemade slaw, hand cut french fries. They also serve other homemade American food, and open at 5:30 for breakfast. Very simple, inexpensive, local place.

“Homemade and Delicious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

This is the second time we have eaten at this restaurant, with eclectic decor including vegetables painted on the windows, framed pictures of fishermen with their catches and even a wall painting of a cow on a tractor and stuffed deer heads. It is adjacent to a shipping facility. All the food is homemade, service is quick and prices are reasonable, especially when you choose from a lengthy list of daily specials. Also, feature a variety of fresh fish. A little off the beaten path but highly recommended.
