“Eh”
Reviewed February 15, 2014

Recommended to us but we were disappointed. Fried shrimp dinner (2 sides) is $22, good but pretty steep for what it is. Took an hour for our food to arrive. Outdoor atmosphere looked nice- a little too cool the night we were there. Not quite what we were hoping for our valentines night out- not bad, just not great for the time and cost.

“Still needs some work but will try again”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

This has always been a great location with outside tables, I really hope they make it as their other location (Tuscan Grille) is great. maybe that is why we were expecting better.
We both ordered the Bisque and different sandwiches.
Server brought out the sandwiches (forgot the soups) but failed to give us eating utensils and napkins, had to find our own from the outside bar. Then the soup came so our sandwiches got cold while eating the soup (it was 60 out).

After that the service got better, in fact they bought us a drink to make up for the misses.

Sandwiches were tasty and plentiful, fries good and the coleslaw average (could have been creamier) but overall a good experience. We will try it again.

Even though they have been open for several months, they are planning their grand opening for Feb 1.

“Great Lunch...we were surprised”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

Finally, what has been numerous different restaurants, will hopefully survive under the new ownership. Today 4 of us decided to have lunch at the "new" Sweetwater's Smokehouse and Grill in Flagler Beach and were pleasantly surprised. Because it was raining we ate in the inside dining room which was bright and welcoming. Our waitress (Lydia) was pleasant, efficient and attentive. We each ordered different selections (clam strip hoagie, broiled Atlantic Cod, Chicken sandwich and BBq chicken/ribs) from the somewhat limited lunch menu and enjoyed our food which was plentiful and presented nicely. Since the owners of this restaurant also own Tuscan Grille we ordered two desserts to share (coconut cake and lava cake)and weren't disappointed. When we left it had stopped raining so we walked around the outdoor dining area. What a change! They now have nice tables and comfortable chairs (replacing the picnic tables and benches) and instead of walking on sand, there's a beautiful wood deck. The covered pavilion that overlooks the intracoastal was also nicely updated and now has a much better atmosphere than previously. Good Job.

“Fantastic New Years Eve Menu”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

I recently reviewed Sweet Waters (Flagler Beach, Florida) but must add another rave about a wonderful find in Flagler Beach, Florida on New Years Eve. We decided to dine at Sweet Waters on New Years Eve as our meals there have been more than up to par. Good thing I called early, as Kathryn (part owner) indicated that only reserved tables were available inside and we were happy we did just that. When we arrived around 6:00 p.m., the place was crowded, bar very busy and telephone going off the hook. The very pleasant hostess showed us to our usual table. Server (Aaron) presented us both with the New Years Eve menu and the regular one answering all our questions about the "specials". Being a holiday, we ordered from the New Years Eve menu and were happy that we did. We shared and started out with the Appetizer Special (Oysters Rockefeller stuffed with spinach, herbs and bread crumbs, topped with parmesan cheese)- fantastic - then I had the 18 oz. Ribeye with a half pound of Crab Legs - unforgettable. My partner ordered the Seafood Bouillabaisse that contained clams, mussels, shrimp (big ones) and a lobster tail (plus more goodies we don't remember) served in a clear delicious broth. We both took plenty home but Dawn the 1/2 owner, came over with 2 very large plates of her home made velvet cake with a side of ice cream. I told her - you got to be kidding! We ate the ice cream and took the cake home. Later on while watching the ball come down in Times Square, we enjoyed the cake (soft and very tasty) with a glass of champagne. We lived it up - but what the heck, it was New Years Eve - food fantastic as well as the cocktails from the bar. Kathryn, Dawn and Michael over did themselves for their first New Years Eve gala at Sweet Waters. Folks, if you don't try Sweet Waters (under the route 100 bridge, Flagler Beach) you don't know what you are missing as the food was fantastic; these 2 gal owners go over board for their patrons. We heard the music from the outside that sounded great but unfortunately the weather was cold. Go on a warmer evening, eat outside and enjoy good music and a fantastic view of the river (and all the boats) - we were told you can come by boat and dock - eat outside or in (we generally eat inside. The restaurant is not noisy, service great with a nice lady bartender. Go see Kathryn and Dawn real soon and - oh yes - Michael will be there too! If you are out of town, call for directions.

“Great location, inconsistent food & service”
Reviewed December 19, 2013 via mobile

We have been here 3 times. As a new restaurant there are still some kinks to work out. 2 times the service was good. 1 time very slow...all our friends had finished when our meal arrived. 2 times the food was good. 1 time the food was greasy and cold. The workers are all nice and friendly. The location is great...right on the intracoastal. It has a great outsde area with a covered area for cold or wet weather. The owners also own the Tuscan Grill which is 5 star so though not yet great Sweet Waters has great potential.
