We went during happy hour and enjoyed some appetizers on the cheap. I love the location since it is overtop the waves. The service was good, as well as the food. I'd say a bit pricey though.

Great views of the ocean, but a little loud inside the resturant, Food was very Good. We sat on the deck also and it was nice.

We waited a long time for this restaurant to open. Heard pros and cons about it so we waited until they had their act together. Three of us went for lunch and were greeted with a warm welcome and shown to our table. We chose to sit inside looking out over the Atlantic ocean. There were tables outside also but none of them had umbrellas and it was a hot day. The service was excellent and friendly.

I had the 'swimmin' reuben' and it was fresh and tasty. One diner had the fish and chips which was equally fresh and tasty. The other diner had a burger and fries. The burger was good but the roll was bready. It is moderately priced (for such a great location) and the portions are fine. But, and this is the only negative; it is quit noisy. It was difficult to have a conversation as there is nothing to absorb the sound. For this reason I only gave it a 4 star. Go for the food, service and view, but not if you want to have a conversation!

Four of us decided to give The Funky Pelican a try, and we all were delighted! We arrived in time for Happy Hour and enjoyed wine for $3 a glass out on the deck with a great view of the ocean and pier. For dinner we ordered the paella, fried shrimp, fried scallops and the haddock sandwich. All were good, but the shrimp were outstanding! Very succulent with a very light batter. Will go back soon to order some for myself. Our server was pleasant and accommodating. Great evening with friends!

Food was good with decent portions. We ordered hamburgers, shrimp and a monte cristo. Entrees had catchy names and were priced fairly. Service was good. We were originally seated outside but weather cooled off and staff was very helpful in getting our group moved inside where it was warmer. There are walls of chalkboards outisde the entrance that were alot of fun to add our own little comments to. There are also t-shirts, etc. for sale.
