This isn't the Commander's Palace or NOLA but as a little storefront cafe in Flagler Beach it's serving some great New Orleans food. Very few New Orleans style restaurants serving cajun and/or creole dishes include muffalettas (too italian) but I can't imagine walking by the Central Market without stopping for at least a half a loaf with a cold Abita. You can get both here. The red beans (no black beans here) and rice with sausage is seasoned perfectly. The bread pudding is worth a special trip. If your hungry for this kind of food, this is your only option in this part of Florida.

The chicken/sausage gumbo was delicious, and the bread pudding to die for. We definitely will be visiting again soon!

I love beignets at Cafe du Monde in New Orleans so it was a scrumptious surprise to find their coffee and beignets a few miles down the road from home. They only serve the beignets on Friday and Saturday mornings but you can kill two birds with one stone by visiting the Flagler Beach Farmer's Market on either of those days.

We have been here a few times for the beignets and French market coffee only; good food/coffee and excellent customer service. Beignets are served Fri-Sat 8-11 only. This time we arrived on a Saturday right at 11 and they happily made us an order even though they were obviously finishing up. The beignets were very nice. We stayed and had lunch, sharing an order of the CajunTour (Dirty Rice, Red beans & Rice and Gumbo). Owner split the gumbo 1/2 seafood, 1/2 chicken since I can't do shellfish which I thought was nice. All 3 dishes are excellent. Looking forward to trying one of the Friday night special dinners. The food here is fantastic, the restaurant is clean and the customer service is exceptional.

We just ate here for lunch and it was excellent! We took our friends who know NO foods very well and they too were pleased. Everyone pretty much ordered something different and no one was disappointed. Highly recommend The Big Easy!
